Do not buy Sephora Giftcards

My daughter received a $50 giftcard for Christmas. We went to use it today and we're told it has $0. My husband bought the card and I know it was loaded with $50. The store instructed us to call customer support. They let us know that there were 2 transactions on 12/26/2024 in the amount of $17 and then $33. Using the $50 up. The card was not touched, in pristine condition. And we definitely had not done any shopping the day after Christmas. The code and account number were still under the gray scratch off. How could it have been used?! Clearly the account number information had been hacked or stolen by someone. Sephora didn't offer to help in any way, and wouldn't even tell us where the transactions occurred. This has been so frustrating. We've been stolen from. And by no fault of our own. Never buy Sephora cards. They'll just be stolen. This was a horrible experience. #stolen giftcard #giftcard #customersupport

I've already contacted "Customer Support" via phone and chat. Both told me there is no help available. The response from you posted here seems to me to be false optics that maybe someone in this company might care and be able to help. But it is all false. No help is available. Sephora got paid. So what do they care.

This happened to me as well, up here in Canada. I purchased a $100 gift card.  I have the receipt & the activation receipt. Sephora offer NO HELP. I'm basically out $100. Never purchasing from Sephora again. Customer Service was useless.
