Debit card not working online

I have been trying to make an online purchase with BMO Debit Mastercard and it keeps showing me this message:

"Payment error - your payment could not be processed. Please verify that your card number, expiration date and cvn are correct and that your billing address matches what the bank has on file. We have reversed any pending charges to your account." 

But the thing is I use this card constantly on all other websites and it works just fine. Except on the Sephora website. I used to have a CIBC Visa Debit and never had any issues with that one. But since I switched banks, I cant make any purchases on the Sephora website unless it's by PayPal, and last time I did that I got screwed over since they wont refund a PayPal transaction and only give an in-store credit, which also cannot be used online. The information I have entered are all correct (card number, cvn, address etc) and the exact same as the one I have on my banking file. 

Anyone knows what might be the issue there?? Thanks!
