Calling Sephora to ask for advice

I would like to know whether anyone has had a similar experience.  I called to make an order over the phone last night.  I wanted some advice about products.  It took several calls before anyone could help.  One man claimed that calling Sephora, is not for knowing about the products, but only doing orders.  I know this is not true because I have spoken to many people who have been very helpful.  Another man said, "How would I know about makeup, I am a man!"  Another person said that if I wanted any advice I should do my order at store. (My store was closed and I wanted to use an online promotion). I also spoke to some young sounding people who gave, "I don't know" answers.  Like I mentioned, not everybody is like this.  Many people will try to find the answers and if they can't will ask a supervisor.  It is just that I have been getting more people than usual who are either not knowledgeable or who don't seem to care.

I’ve never phoned in an order before but have talked to customer service several times over the years about orders I’ve placed. Your experience sounds a bit out of character to what I’ve experienced. I’ve found for the most part CS to be rather helpful.
