Birthday gift only available with $25 purchase in store?

I went into a Sephora inside a Kohls to redeem my birthday gift and was told that as of June 1st all birthday gifts could only be redeemed with a $25 purchase.  I thought this was online only and when I read the fine print I don’t see this anywhere.  Can anyone confirm.  If this is true can Sephora please update the terms.

This happened to me at khols in steele creek, NC. They said they don't know how to insert my email to retrieve it.

So if we don’t want to spend the 25$ we have to physically go to the store? What about rouge who can demonstrate they didn’t create a fake account for free stuff. It’s wild to me.

it was the at the Council Bluffs, IA located on Metro drive. 

I will try to go back over the next couple of days and see if there is any difference.  If not, I’ll will try a different store.

@Kclynne13 @Maybe the person was misinformed. I know that has happened to me at Sephora Kohls. You can always show them the email to prove them wrong or speak to the manager.
