What is the Beauty Insider Appreciation Event?
This is a special event to celebrate our Beauty Insiders and the recent changes to the Beauty Insider program. This promo is a great excuse to splurge, restock favorites, and start stocking up on fall newness.
What’s the offer?
Rouge gets 20% off, VIB gets 15% off and Insiders save 10%. Plus, Rouge (we see you!) gets to shop early before VIB and Insider.
What if I like to order online?
That’s cool. You can redeem the offer on both US and CA sites. Please note that online orders are one time use however you are welcome to shop as frequently as you’d like in-store.
Can I redeem the offer more than once?
Online you may redeem the offer one time but if you forget something the first time around, don’t even stress. The offer can be used as many times as you want in-store.
What’s my code to shop?
You can shop one time online with your code below based on your tier:
Rouge: YESROUGE
VIB: YESVIB
Insider: YESINSIDER
You can also bring your barcode into store to use as many times as you want. Check your email to get your store barcode!
Dates, please?
Rouge: Fri 8/24 - Mon 9/3
VIB and Insider: Thurs 8/30 – Mon 9/3
Wait, why are the dates split?
As a benefit of our top tier of membership, Rouge gets to shop the event early.
Is this offer available in Canada?
Yes! Some Canada stores may be closed on Mon 9/3 for Labor Day so be sure to call your store for holiday hours and closures.
What about Sephora inside JCPenney?
The offer is valid in Sephora inside JCPenney stores however, the offer is not valid on jcp.com.
Are there any exclusions?
In one word, yes. In lots of words: The offer cannot be applied to previous purchases, gift cards, Flash shipping or PLAY! by Sephora subscriptions, or combined with any other promotional offers. Not valid on purchases of Dyson, customizable sets online or through Sephora’s Customer Service. Clients are limited to three Drunk Elephant-branded items per transaction and three Tatcha-branded items per transaction. Merchandise quantities may be limited, see store for details.
Heeeeey Sephora... Now, let me preface I am alway happy to receive discounts and really try not to demand more from them when they are given, but it's a little disappointing to see a lot of items added to the sale section at the start of the VIB/BI access. Rouge is supposed to get first access to items, but when things are marked down halfway through our access it's a bit irritating. I understand we can still shop in store, but I think a lot of us would have waited to use our code knowing things would see additional markdowns. This does the opposite of giving Rouges first access... it penalizes us when we take advantage. My order would have looked quite a bit different if those items where on sale a week ago. The terms of the sale have changed... Pricing is no longer equal from when it began to now. Taking away an opportunity for Rouge shoppers to take advantage of what's meant to be a perk is unfair. I do hope you will consider allowing Rouge to use their access code again before the sale ends, even if it just once during round two.
Update for everyone about this - I just called customer service and told them how ridiculous this whole situation was, and they got approval to use my 20% code online again, the order just has to be placed through customer service. So I would recommend figuring out what you want and then call in, ask for this exception (specifically say that as they added these sale items/restocked stuff today it puts you at a disadvantage for being Rouge), and place your order then. Hope this helps!
I called the Rouge line earlier today and asked if they could help me place an order with the discount as well since new sale items were added. In all honesty, I would've preferred to have everything in one order, since I'm trying to be more environmentally friendly and sometimes seeing all my sephora orders stacked up in my living room makes me feel like I really should consolidate my orders. (But ofc I also have felt the pain of seeing things go in and out of stock during this sale). Anyhow, I asked if they could apply the discount bc I really wanted the Pat McGrath LiquiLust set and it was online only. I just wanted to say that the customer service agent was very understanding about the new labour day items and helped me place a new order without any difficulty. In my recent experiences, I think the Rouge line has improved significantly. The agents I've spoken to recently are always very attentive in listening and resolves any issues super quickly. Great job to the Rouge Concierge agents!!
Good to know, @Anonymous. I’ll pass this info along to my friend and perhaps try it myself. Thanks!
Also joining the chorus here. With so many good items added to sale TODAY it seems like being a Rouge member is a distinct disadvantage. None of the Sephoras near me actually have anything on sale in store. This is so f'ed up and I hope Sephora does thing to address it. Rouge is supposed to have advantages and this makes me truly angry b/c I would have been better off being VIB in terms of getting a % off of sale items I actually wanted.
Joining the chorus, mainly because a friend ranted to me about this earlier today (while we tried in vain to nab a $100 Rouge gift “card”). She has only one local Sephora and used her one-time online discount on Friday. She’ll have to pay full price [edit for clarity: I mean the new sale price, without an additional 20% discount] for anything she wants that was just added to the sale section, since her local store doesn’t carry it. (Yes, I’ve already told her to contact Sephora directly about this—especially if she bought something on Friday that’s now on sale.)
I have 4 local Sephoras (technically 5) so I’m luckier than most. But some sale items are online-only, so... yeah. I did compare the sale section against my Friday order to make sure nothing I bought has been marked down. But I see a few things I’d have added to my order, had I truly had early access to their sale price. I realize it seems kinda crazy to complain about Sephora stopping us from spending even more money. That doesn’t make the late-addition markdowns any less obnoxious.
@SephoraBIC - Sephora snailmailed me a barcode card for this sale late last week. But it’s not the Rouge card, it’s a VIB 15% card. (I never received a 20% Rouge barcode card, but I did get the barcode via email). So... can I now use YESVIB online? If you won’t let Rouge members use YESROUGE more than once, why not at least let us use the VIB code for one more online order, now that you’ve marked items down mid-sale?
I did manage to get a $100 Rouge gift card by redeeming my points, and when I clicked to redeem it and finish my purchase when the screen refreshed it was gone :{ I have emailed customer service to find out what happened.
@Goosebuttons Ugh, I hope Sephora fixes that for you. Sounds like they still have some gift card bugs to work out.
Neither my friend nor I managed to get one today, which sucks because we both actually had time away from work to try doing it today. 😞
We shall see. It would be great if they honored it, but I'm expecting an email starting with, "We're sorry..."

I have to second this as well. I placed my (very modest) order on the first day as I was afraid the LE and online only item I wanted would sell out. I was annoyed with one-time use until today, but am now borderline angry that I can't shop with a discount anymore. My order would have been drastically different, and would have been significantly larger had Rouge had true "first access" to everything that was going to be on sale. Shopping in-store isn't much of an option for me, and several of the items I'm interested in now are online only anyways.
That would be nice. A lot of us only have one Sephora near us and it's probably in a jcpenny so it's most likely a smaller store with fewer items, so having more than a one-use code online would be very welcome. I also already used my code on something I returned today, so now I'm just sitting here not able to enjoy this sale at all. 😞
Hi @MandyM330! I did a quick check and it looks like you are subscribed for promotional emails! I'm sorry you did not receive it. I refreshed your subscriptions, but also maybe check your spam folder to see if it went in there.
Cheers!
Kevin
I just made a purchase, however the points stated on the order confirmation are different than what my status in my profile states. Does it take longer for the 1.25 multiple to show up in the status online?
The same thing happened to me. If you click on your name at the top of this screen and select Beauty Insider on the menu, then scroll down to the button that says "view points and spend" it will show you the breakdown of the points and your total. Mine shows the new multiplier as an additional amount of points added separately. I hope this helps!
I'm a vib and the code (yesvib) does not work. I tried placing an order tonight (central time-Canada) shortly after midnight. It says "expired". I never received an email with the code. Help please!
