25% off credit card - not working

Came here to see if my issue is a common one and it appears it is. Bummer. 
I needed to do a pretty big restock and finally pulled the trigger on applying for the Sephora Credit card and figured I’d save some $ on my big restock. I was approved and received the temporary card in my app under payments. The 25% off code wouldn’t apply, I chatted with 2 agents who asked what my CVC code was (which of course, I don’t have yet because I haven’t received the card??) when I go into my payment options, the security code is greyed out because it’s the temporary number. The agents were no help and just sent me a 1800 # to contact the credit card company?? I asked if they could just provide a 1-time 25% off promo code for the inconvenience and they wouldn’t. I wouldn’t have bothered to apply if I knew it was such a hassle. Such a scam and super disappointed. It shouldn’t be this complicated😔
