What are some good foundations for acne/dry/textured skin that are light to medium coverage?

I’ve tried Clinique even better glow and Benefit happy and both of them looked really flakey and cakey.

I used to have eczema patches and what really made the difference is the skincare I apply before hand. Make sure to exfoliate with something not to abrasive or irritating and follow with a moisturizer at night. I’ve also found that using things like the drunk elephant night serum and their Marula oil really helped with my acne and my dry patches. I usually moisturize in the morning as well with a lighter water based one. I’ve recently been liking the Nars sheer glow with the born this way concealer to cover any spots that show through. The foundation will give you that light to medium coverage and be very natural looking. I also used to use Clinique but when I stopped using it for awhile when I traveled I relived that some of their products where making me break out more.

I use to have horrible acne when I was a teenager and now at 21 it’s going away. I have tried tons of different foundations and I always got a cakey result at the end. I found that if you put pour eraser on skin let it settle for 10 minutes then apply a moisturizer the result is different when applying a foundation. I really like the Makeup forever HD foundation a lot. It has medium coverage but I always liked the outcome. The way I got my skin to stop breaking out was to mix a small amount of Benzoyl Peroxide with my foundation and after 4 months of doing that I never had an acne problem again.

Hi @meredithmcc. I'd recommend the BAREMINERALS - COMPLEXION RESCUE™ Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30. This is more of a tinted moisturizer, but has decent coverage and as an added benefit, it's very hydrating.
