Foundation matching

Hi everyone! I’m really interested in trying the re(marc)able foundation by Marc Jacobs but I have no idea what color I should get it in. Could you guys maybe help me out? I wear a Y215 in the Makeup forever ultra hd and the lady at Sephora said I would be a 120 in the Fenty beauty foundation. Those are the only two foundations that I have been matched with and know go with my skin well. Thank you all so so much šŸ™‚ also I don’t have any photos that aren’t filtered terribly so I’m gonna post the best One I can find. I’m sorry. šŸ˜©šŸ˜‚

Re: Foundation matching

@woodangelamarie Based on your MUFE shade your Color IQ number is 2Y02. There is not a Marc Jacobs foundation in that shade or one shade lighter.  The one shade darker offers the option of the Featherweight Powder foundation in 200 Ivory Bisque.

Based on your Fenty Beauty shade your Color IQ number is 2Y03 (so, just the one shade darker). One shade darker than that offers the Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able liquid foundation in Bisque 22.

However, given the fact that this is two shades darker than the MUFE shade and a shade darker than the Fenty Beauty you may want to try it in store before buying to make sure it's a good match.  I don't know much about the Re(marc)able foundation so I don't know if it would oxidize or not.  If you're incredibly brave or a store is too far away you could always order it online, but just know that you may need a mixer to lighten the shade.

Re: Foundation matching

Thank you! That’s what I was afraid of. I’m really new to all of this and don’t think I’m ready to start mixing the shades just yet. Haha  I guess I’ll stick to my MUFE unless you have any other recs? I’m super dry skin and it’s hard to find anything I love.

Re: Foundation matching

I had a lot of luck with the Hourglass Vanish Stick until they changed my rosacea treatment and the topical started breaking it up.  It looks like you are shade Porcelain in that.

I also liked the coverage and finish of the NARS Luminous Foundation. It's showing you as being Mont Blanc in that.

Those would be my two best recommendations based on your color match and skin type.  I hope that helps! šŸ™‚
