Am I using these in the right order?

I just need to know if I'm doing this in the right order or am I messing my face up more? 1. Clean my face with the Sephora cleanser/toner 2. Wipe it with Sephora Glycolic glow peel pads. 3. Wipe with Caudalie Salicylic acid toner. 4. Sephora brightening and depuff eye cream. 5. Apply Sunday Riley Good Genes to my face. 6. Apply Sephora Vitamin C Glow serum (I think oils go last) 7. Tatcha water moisturizer before bed. My main issues are keeping my acne at bay while trying to lighten my acne scars I have on my chin and jawline. Is this the right order? I have no idea. Any direction would be appreciated.

Re: Am I using these in the right order?

Are any of these products new to you, @OtakuRN or have you been using them for a while? That's a LOT of active ingredients and, depending on your skin, could lead to over-exfoliation. Unless you've been using these types of ingredients for a while and know your skin tolerates them really well that often I would break them up into separate routines. Right now, you have two different AHAs (the SR Good Genes and Sephora peel pads) so it's a little redundant to use them both in the same routine. I'd move the vitamin C to the mornings because it's an anti-oxidant that can boost your sunscreen's performance (speaking of which, make sure to wear at least 30 spf every morning given all of these ingredients can make your skin more susceptible to sun damage).

If you were to keep the routine with all of these products though then here's the order I would suggest (based on optimal pH layering for best efficacy):

1. cleanser (What toner are you using? A pH balancing toner would come directly after cleansing, but a moisturizing one would come after the active ingredients.)

2. vitamin C serum

3. Caudalie toner

4. peel pads

5. Good Genes

6. eye cream

7. Tatcha moisturizer

I use the Cuadalie Vinopure purifying toner. It has Salicylic acid in it. In the morning, I apply Neutrogena clear face spf 50 before my primer. Upon an earlier comment, I cut back my use of the glow pads to in the mornings and I only ever used the Good Genes as night before bed.

Re: Am I using these in the right order?

The order seems ok, but I would just be mindful of using glycolic, lactic, and salicylic acid every single day. This is a routine I would do two times a week or three times a week (every other day) at most, but not nightly. As your trying to fade scaring please make sure that you’re also using something with an SPF on a daily basis.

Thank you! 🤗 Which acid should I ease back on? I do make sure to put on sunscreen after my moisturizer and before my primer.
