Tatcha Pure One Step Camellia oil or Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm

Which makeup remover should I buy?

RE: Tatcha Pure One Step Camellia oil or Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm

I’m about half way through my Clinique remover balm and I will 100% continue to buy it from now on. I wear waterproof mascara on a daily basis and this balm melts it away so fast! It’s also great for full foundation looks too. I’m telling you, all you need is a quarter sized amount, start to gently rub it on your face and the makeup breaks down beautifully. Then, all you have to do is rinse it off with warm water - it leaves almost no residue! (Although I would still recommend cleansing with soap after) Hope this helps!

Hi @Breelani,

I suggest removing your makeup with the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm 3.4 oz/ 100 mLand cleansing with the FRESH - Soy Face Cleanser. This combo takes my makeup off and leaves my skin feeling super clean without feeling dry. Hope this helps!

Best,

Rebecca

If you're looking for a makeup remover that will take all of your makeup off, the CLINIQUE Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Makeup Remover 3.8 oz/ 125 mLis the one. After I heat it up between your fingers and lightly massage for several seconds, the balm easily melts away my waterproof liner and mascara. The Tatcha The Camellia Oil 2-in-1 Makeup Remover & Cleanser 5.1 oz/ 150 mL I find is better for non-waterproof makeup and good for if you want some extra hydration for your skin. Both do leave a sort of layer on your skin, so you can use any regular cleanser to wash it away.

@Breelani I have tried both and feel like they both work great.  The only difference is how you have to get the products out and the texture.  Clinique is more of a heavy balm texture and the Tatcha is an oil.  Both work the same way and take makeup off equally well.  The last difference is the price.
