I need a foundation and setting powder that will stay on all night, and avoid flash back?

I’ve got semi formal coming up, and I need a good foundation and a good setting powder that will stay in place and avoid flash back. I’ve got extremely oily skin, but I also tend to get dry patches on my cheeks and other places. Any advice would be super helpful!

I'm in the same boat with combo (and very sensitive skin). I've played with different products and routines over the years but my current absolute must routine is: Wash face (ofra vitamin c cleanser). Rinse in the coldest water (to shrink my pours). Put moisturizer (olay 7 signs of aging) on immediately before face dries. let air dry. Then I use exuviance matte perfection primer. Put milk of magnesia around my nostrils and chin (where I produce the most oil). I also put monistat chafing gel under my eyes, around my hairline, and all over my upper lip to help my foundation smooth over the textured parts of my face. Then I use exuviance cover blend foundation, my concealer, and highlighter (all creams), let sit for about 5 mins to dry. Then I use lorac porefection baked powder all over face. Then banana powder to bake my super oily places. Once I finish baking I wipe away excess and then use a damp beauty blender to dab all over my face to remove the "chalky" look. Then to finish off I spray my face with skindinavia oil control to set my makeup. my makeup last all day, even in the ocean! Those steps gives me such a natural beautiful glow.

I have an oily tzone and am dry on my chin. I've tried a lot of foundations to find the one that looks best and lasts the longest. And honestly, the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r primer and foundation, set with Laura Mercier translucent powder makes my skin look flawless and my makeup won't move all day.

Try using urban decay all nighter liquid foundation - I use this everyday, the coverage is amazing and it stays on throughout the day. My face loves to sweat through my makeup causing my makeup to look melted off and cakey, but with that foundation it hasn't happened :))) also try using kat d von setting powder or too faced setting powder 💓
