BB cream vs foundation?

I hear that foundation provides better coverage but BB cream is more light weight and natural looking. I don't have much experience with either and am looking to start using something to even out my completion more. Looking for thought and recommendations!

Dr Jart Premium BB balm is a nice primer, SPF,  and skin corrector that can be worn alone or with foundation. I use a light dusting of Bare Minerals original foundation over the Balm and it gives a great canvas for blush or bronzer. It last all day without creasing or caking. I hope this helps.
