Where are my beautiful skincare junkies?

I put so much more into my skincare than my makeup! But its time for a brand switch. I used to be a Tatcha girl, but they're so expensive! I don't shy away from dropping dollars on good skincare, but I'd like a change. What are everyone's favorite skincare products? My favorite thing I own is Farmacy's Eye Dew.

Drunk Elephant, Youth To The People, Boscia :)

RE: Where are my beautiful skincare junkies?

I use Tatcha grains but with Biossance cleansing oil, I got a sample of the brands Vitamin C Rose Oil too and I am hooked. So lightweight by my skin looks and feels so healthy. This brand is all non toxic and I am hooked.

5) HEMP OIL - slather that on your face. Trust me, and if you don't, research the amazing acne fighting benefits

Re: Where are my beautiful skincare junkies?

My absolute favourite new product is the Drunk Elephant Vitamin C Serum. It's been a real game changer for me. A lot of girls at my gym have asked me about it as well, tried the sample & since purchased because they love it so much. No fake orange scent, great packaging that preserves the ingredients & it packs an antioxidant punch! I am a huge believer in the expert reviews on Beautypedia - this product was given a 5 star rating there too! That said, I'm still working to finalize my holy grail routine:

1. Weekly

- Caudalie exfoliator

- Charcoal pore strips

- Various sheet masks

2. Daily AM

- The Ordinary Buffet peptide serum (not avialable at Sephora but only $13 and worth the hype!!)

- Drunk Elephane C Firma

- Murad City Defense SPF 50 lotion

3. Daily PM

- Cetaphil sensitive skin face wash

- The Ordinary Azelic Acid Suspension 10% (Unreal product for only $7.90 CDN!)

- Searching for a holy grail toner or retinoid - not 100% sure yet!

- Drunk Elephant Whipped Moisturiser

Ahhh I love skincare! So worth it.

RE: Re: Where are my beautiful skincare junkies?

Hey, just a heads up if you're using pore strips that they only give short term results and they can actually do more harm than good (seriously, Google it)! A better way to clear pores & blackheads is to use chemical exfoliants like beta hydroxy acids (BHA) like salicylic acid, and alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) like lactic or glycolic acid. They basically dissolve and clear out the oil & dead skin from your pores. My favourite product to use on a weekly basis is Herbivore Botanicals Blue Tansy AHA + BHA Resurfacing Mask, or The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution (not sold at Sephora but only $4.90CDN!!!!).

I used to have acne prone skin but I've been using andalou night cream (1000 roses) and it works wonders.

Re: Where are my beautiful skincare junkies?

So recently changed my skincare up;
My Skin type: Acne, acne prone, sensitive as heck, red, combination. I can and will break out to coconut oil, rose oil, tea tree oil, lavender , citrus oils. Anything comedogenic. Drying alcohol/ and debating on fragrance?

My routine:
( No products have drying alcohol or fragrance)
I rub Lush's cold cream ultra bland over my face because it's just so rich, luxiorious, doesn't break me out, no irritant ingredients!!  It cleans and takes off makeup. Then I rub it all off to take it off as well as the makeup with an unscented baby wipe (super cheap, super gentle ingredients and the bomb for taking off makeup). I then use Cerave hydrating wash on my face. Also rub some lush angels on bareskin for exfoliation and brightening. I then use my foreo  luna device all over my face. After I tone with cliniques clarifying lotion 1.0 ... then I pat on cliniques turn around essence on my face which is really light and watery, to prep and add to the next step. I then put a moisturizer by cera ve on my face ❤️ Then..... I add my 1% retinoid to my face for the acne. Tada! sounds like a lot but it's fun and relaxing.

RE: Re: Where are my beautiful skincare junkies?

Girl your skin sounds just like mine! Try adding some Moroccan red clay powder (you can get it online pretty cheap) for masks! Most other clays don't do anything for my skin or make me red AF.. this one calms everything and my skin is sooo smooth after! I think you'd like it!

I tend to switch things up a lot depending on my day. I'll always take off my makeup with micellar water and a makeup remover towel. Then, I'll cleanse with a wash that suits my worries for the day/week. My favorite is my Cetaphil Oil Control wash since my face gets oily at work. Once a week, I'll use a mask from Skinfood after cleansing and rinse it with warm water. I'll use my Coconut Water Hydrating Mist, then my Mario Badescu Aloe Vera toner, and finish with my Farmacy Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer. My skin always looks so fresh and clean and feels so soft after the moisturizer sinks in. (It does fell a bit sticky for a minute, though.) If I have any pimples, I'll spot treat with this old Clinique sample after my moisturizer.

Re: Where are my beautiful skincare junkies?

I am always looking for new products, always looking for better, but I doubt there is better than Sunday Riley’s All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment, my holy grail.

RE: Where are my beautiful skincare junkies?

Origins and REN are my favorite skincare brands from Sephora. LUSH is also a very good and affordable brand with all natural products.

RE: Where are my beautiful skincare junkies?

Im a makeup and skincare junkie!!! I LOVE CeraVe and SheaMoisture for drugstore, and for high end I like Ren, Korres, Youth To The People, and Herbivore. I'm cruelty free and focused clean ingredients in my skincare. Honestly though, I make most of my skincare. I love trying new masks, moisturizers and eye creams, but I make my own cleanser, toner, exfoliant, serums, etc.

Re: Where are my beautiful skincare junkies?

I highly recommend Kopari's cleansing oil! I don't mind dropping a few bucks on great skincare, but I've found that this is just amazing and really affordable. I use their toner and for a serum I love to use Sunday Riley's CEO serum and my moisturizer is from youth to the people. That combo gives me the best glow and I would so recommend.

Re: Where are my beautiful skincare junkies?

Which Youth to the People moisturizer do you use?
