@Kaitlyn0153794  Quick clarification: just because you can’t pronounce an ingredient, doesn’t mean that ingredient’s somehow bad for you. 🙂 Have you ever looked up the official INCI names of “clean” ingredients and tried to pronounce those? Shea butter = butyrospermum parkii. Blueberry = vaccinium angustifolium. Polyglyceryl-3 methylglucose distearate is an emulsifier that’s in one of Glow Recipe’s most loved products.

Related note: I realize some folks assume anything they can’t pronounce must be a chemical and chemicals must be bad. Truth is, EVERYTHING is made of chemicals, including water (H2O) which is a chemical compound. The human body is a living breathing chemical-producing factory. Many ingredients are listed with unrecognizable* names because of the INCI standard for ingredient labels.

*Well, unrecognizable until you’ve studies enough ingredients to recognize their INCI names on sight. I highly recommend getting to know some ingredient INCI names, as well as learning what various ingredients can and cannot actually do for skin. INCIdecoder is a good reference database for all of that.

@WinglessOne @Kaitlyn0153794 Yes to this! As someone who lives, eats, breathes, and sleeps in the world of science, I’m pretty adept at reading scientific names of various compounds and decoding what they mean. So many of the ingredients in the things we use today can be traced back to something from nature or inspired by a natural compound that’s  faster/cheaper/easier to manufacture synthetically. It’s important to do some research first and not just take things at face value.

Re: Clean skincare

I am looking for a good face cleaner, moisture, and eye cream for day and night.
