Spring Cheek Challenge
Style Awakening 💇🏽♀️✨⏰
Welcome to the Spring Cheek Challenge!!! I'm looking for that seasonal refresh. For the first SPRING Cheek challenge, (I know right.. How is this the first...I couldn't get past IYKYK, "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking."), I want you to look towards personal moments and icons (person, celebrity, objects) for inspiration. Look to the Gawds, dahhhhhlings. And zhuzh it up with an outfit, or hair accessory or anything you think that's relevant. I've declared this the "year of using my pretty things, " and I'm inviting you to join me!
The INSPO behind the INSPO:
This was fueled by caitbird's brilliant inspo board for Belle, pdxxxx's elite breakdown's of icons, the creative choices of Cissy63 during the Winter Wonderland cheek challenges... And again, Zendaya.
BUT, WHEN YOU NEED A PUSH/INSPO, AS ALWAYS.....I GOT YOUUUUUUU
Here are the weekly themes:
Blush Crush (Apr 8-13)
Meet me in Miami (Apr 14-Apr 20)

Candy Coated Coquette, Mocha Mousse Version (May 5-May 11)
Sunday Best (May 12-May 19)
I made a bunch of mood boards; feel free to use them or remix/remake them into your own.

@makeitup305 Wow, that Guerlain is gorgeous on you! That's good to know about the PT. I was considering purchasing it, but I may hold off if it's that heavily pigmented.
@PrettyPaint The cream is gorgeous, the powder is intense. It picks up a ton on the brush. I find the Guerlain much easier to work with but the tone itself is deeper than the PT one. If you are around my skin tone or more fair, the Guerlain or the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Hot Cheeks Velour Blushlighter might be a little easier to use. I need to post swatches of all my red blushes soon!
@makeitup305 Thanks so much. If you do happen to do a post of your red blushes, I'll be excited to look through your collection! 🙂
You rocked it!! @makeitup305 it is VERY hard to use the Red powder, absolutely!!
@lmaster You did too! I think I finally found a brush that might be my go to for it. I was playing around last night and used the Sonia G Mini Cheek. I dipped it once, knocked off the excess, and then tapped it on my cheeks in a circular motion. It worked out how I’ve been wanting it to. It’s the first time that I’ve managed to get a more “demure” application
Thank you truly!! Oh oh oh I know i have a SG brush @makeitup305 thanks for the tip!!
@makeitup305 gorgeous blushes! All look amazing on you! How interesting that the red PT duo powder behaves so differently than the other shades...I wonder why that is? 🤔
@caitbird I think it’s the pigment they used. It’s more powdery in the pan and not as smooth. It feels like a pressed pigment eyeshadow almost. The cream is just as beautiful as the others, though.
@makeitup305 I LOVE this deep red, very complimentary. I like how both you and @lmaster used red, it's bold but not heavy.
@danielledanielle The Guerlain is probably a bit more vibrant in person but not even glose to the PT. That one is always out to get me lol. It's not for the beginner or the faint of heart. I really hate the formula of that powder, if I'm honest. IT feels like a pressed pigment instead of the creamy powder in his other shades 😒 That cream is so good, though. I need to do comparison swatches of all the red blushes I've accumulated in my recent obsession. Right now the Fenty cherry one is top of the list, suprisingly. At least for powders.
@makeitup305 I'd love to see your swatches!!
Yeah, I know you're not a fan of that one, and reasonably so. @makeitup305 ...I have taken to knocking off some of my blushes on my hand so the disperse differently/sit better on the brush.
@danielledanielle I've definitely have complained about it too much then 😅 lol I've tried that and it helps some but I still get just a big splotch on my cheek where I first put it. I want to be demure but alas, not with this one. The fact that I'm so pale these days is part of the struggle.
🤣, to be fair @makeitup305 it was because we were discussing (and often are) blushes. I've been known to trash a product every now and then. We're just not discussing them at the moment 😂
@danielledanielle I’ve gone on rants about this one and PMG the most I think lol l
