Welcome to the Spring Cheek Challenge!!!  I'm looking for that seasonal refresh.  For the first SPRING Cheek challenge, (I know right.. How is this the first...I couldn't get past IYKYK, "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking."), I want you to look towards personal moments and icons (person, celebrity, objects) for inspiration.    Look to the Gawds, dahhhhhlings.   And zhuzh it up with an outfit, or hair accessory or anything you think that's relevant.  I've declared this the "year of using my pretty things, " and I'm inviting you to join me!

I've never been to Miami and would love to see the architecture there. In the meantime, I imagine corals, corals, corals mixed with the color of light hitting the sand. So that's where my head went - or I guess what went on my face. Moodboard b/c I'm a nerd and the makeup I used in no particular order:

 

I used (3) PATRICK TA Major Skin Hydra-Luxe Luminous Skin Perfecting Foundation For Natural Glow 5 Golden Neutr... as my base before going in with (5) MAKEUP BY MARIO Soft Pop Plumping Cream Blush Veil Just Peachy  and the punchy strawberry like shade in (6) MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Skin Blush & Glow Longwear Cream Face Palette ,the golden highlight in that palette on the tops of my cheekbones and the midtone cool brown to contour. I then topped with my favorite blush of the year, (7) Gucci Luminous Matte Powder Blush 04 Bright Coral and used (1) Hourglass Ambient® Lighting Palette throughout (I got this palette recently and highly recommend). Then for lips I reached for (4) Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Gloss Luminizer Fenty Glow. All in all, a very fun way to explore these palettes.

You have yet to go, but you understood the assignment and met us there @PDXXXX .  It's very soft and luminous.  I think​ all these products are BIC favorites, so that's awesome.  I love the mood board, too.

Yeah, the sun hasn't really made much of an appearance here either @PDXXXX; it's been various shades of grey for most of the weeks, and very chilly the past couple of days. Warm, Miami beaches sound nice right now.

☀️Meet Me in Miami 😎 

This challenge brought to mind beautiful summer, beaches, hot days and summer skin. Everything here is still cold and wet. The grass outside is *almost* ready to turn green and soon flowers and trees will bloom again. But we're still not even into that part of spring yet 🌱😅

So I felt like a bronzer blush hydbrid look with extra bronzer would bring some Miami heat to this look.

I used my Jelly Fish Palette from Hourglass mixed with the Evil Eye Palette to blend both bronzers together and the highlight blush combo from Evil Eye ( I think it just shouts summer glow 🌟) to create this look.  I brought everything up into a curve from my cheek bones to the temples by my eyes. I brushed everything up up up and it really gives my cheekbones a extra lifted look. 👌 I wiped a lot of this away before going out because it's just way too dark. But I felt like it really had to be to show up at all in the pictures. I love the dramatic look on camera, in really life it was just sooooo much heavier.

Extra bronzer for Miami sun: I used it all around the outside of my face blended inward and under my chin and jaw. I layered it on pretty darn heavy today for an extra sun kissed effect.
