Welcome to the Spring Cheek Challenge!!!  I'm looking for that seasonal refresh.  For the first SPRING Cheek challenge, (I know right.. How is this the first...I couldn't get past IYKYK, "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking."), I want you to look towards personal moments and icons (person, celebrity, objects) for inspiration.    Look to the Gawds, dahhhhhlings.   And zhuzh it up with an outfit, or hair accessory or anything you think that's relevant.  I've declared this the "year of using my pretty things, " and I'm inviting you to join me!

This was fueled by caitbird's brilliant inspo board for Belle, pdxxxx's elite breakdown's of icons, the creative choices of Cissy63 during the Winter Wonderland cheek challenges... And again, Zendaya.

I just used my bronzer's first and layered my blush over top, brushing it up and then back alot to blend, this was my placement inspiration except I connected it between my cheek and eye @blackkitty2014

@CynthieLu it looks great! Very bright and fun. I agree on the camera washing away the blush. I feel like mine pops a lot more in person than it does in pictures.

Exactly @makeitup305 it pulls a disappearing act on us dosen't it? For the purpose of the challenges I just really want the colors to pop so I seem to be going for two looks. The one for the picture turned up *bold* and then the second, really rubbed away and toned down for wearing out. 😅

@CynthieLu I usually go in with my foundation brush over it when I get too heavy handed. Since my focus is often on my eyeshadow, I tend to reach for blushes to balance them out and not so much as the focus. This challenge is definitley switching up my makeup perspective when putting it on.

I've done that too, kinda like underpainting right? Just layer some foundation or skin tint over top 😜 @makeitup305

Today I wore the other YSL powder blush I own, Yves Saint Laurent Make Me Blush 24H Buildable Powder Blush 44 Nude Lavalliere , which is a super pretty pink.
