Spring Cheek Challenge
Style Awakening 💇🏽♀️✨⏰
Welcome to the Spring Cheek Challenge!!! I'm looking for that seasonal refresh. For the first SPRING Cheek challenge, (I know right.. How is this the first...I couldn't get past IYKYK, "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking."), I want you to look towards personal moments and icons (person, celebrity, objects) for inspiration. Look to the Gawds, dahhhhhlings. And zhuzh it up with an outfit, or hair accessory or anything you think that's relevant. I've declared this the "year of using my pretty things, " and I'm inviting you to join me!
The INSPO behind the INSPO:
This was fueled by caitbird's brilliant inspo board for Belle, pdxxxx's elite breakdown's of icons, the creative choices of Cissy63 during the Winter Wonderland cheek challenges... And again, Zendaya.
BUT, WHEN YOU NEED A PUSH/INSPO, AS ALWAYS.....I GOT YOUUUUUUU
Here are the weekly themes:
Blush Crush (Apr 8-13)
Meet me in Miami (Apr 14-Apr 20)
Sakura Slay (Apr 21-Apr 27)
Candy Coated Coquette, Pastel Version (Apr 28-May 4)
Candy Coated Coquette, Mocha Mousse Version (May 5-May 11)
Sunday Best (May 12-May 19)
I made a bunch of mood boards; feel free to use them or remix/remake them into your own.

@makeitup305 thank you for showing the YSL colors - I've been super curious! Great smile and color on you.
You are such a breath of fresh air my friend @makeitup305 ❤️🌹
aww that's so sweet @blackkitty2014 thank you!
This color is lovely on you, @makeitup305 ! 💞 Love the braids, too! I've been contemplating this color vs. Rose Haze. Do you have a preference?
@Titian06 @blackkitty2014 here is a side by side of Rose Haze vs Nude Lavalliere. I just have some concealer all over, a tinted brow gel and mascara, plus some lip balm with liner. I applied them a lot heavier than I usually would just to show the color differences better, plus I put them on my eyes over a light layer of concealer.
Right cheek - Nude Lavalliere, which is more pink with a satin finish, with a little bit of a glow. Not as blurring as the matte side
Left cheek- Rose Haze, which is warmer, with a hint of peach I would say, and matte.
On me, I would say Rose Haze is more flattering because it's warmer, which complements my skin tone. It also looks smoother since it doesn't have that sheen, so if you have texture on your cheeks it's something to consider. I'm still happy to have Nude Lavalliere since it's more unique to my collection but I'm glad I picked Rose Haze after all.
Amazing comparison, @makeitup305 ! 🤩 Thank you for the effort and your thoughts! 🥰 Both colors look lovely on you. Nude Lavalliere brightens your face. That's the color I'm leaning towards. Your comparison is very helpful! 😘
@Titian06 It's a beautiful shade. I have it quite built up in the picture so you can definitely wear it more toned down to suit you if that's your style. The sheen probably will not emphasize pores when applied more lightly, too.
Oh woah @makeitup305 . Nude Lavalliere really bright up your face. I would pick it for you too. 🌹Rose Haze also pretty. You right. YSL matte is kinda blurring so I didn’t imagine it. Great comparison my friend. Tag @Sunnysmom so she could see side by side comparison
@Sunnysmom do you have these two?
@makeitup305 I don’t have Rose Haze but I’d probably love it! I love Nude L and have that one. Your cheeks look beauteous. 😍 It’s always always always sold out! 😆 Thank you for the tag @blackkitty2014 !
@Sunnysmom you probably would! I caught it in store so I got lucky.
Sorry for interrupting 😂🤣 I want to hear what you think too @makeitup305 . For me I pick Rose Haze. All these time I think I would love Restless Rose (93) the most but I was wrong @Titian06 . I know most ppl love 44
Thanks for interrupting, @blackkitty2014 ! I value your opinion too! 🥰
Oooh that's a beautiful blush @makeitup305 . This is so unrelated 😅 but can I ask what you use on your eyebrows? They are so on point. 👌
@CynthieLu My combo for the last couple of months, on the days I actually fill them in, are the Espoir Brow Balance pencil and the Unleshia Eyebrow Fixer Shaper Pomade. The pencil I use either 03 Soft/Neutral brown or 01 Classic brown, which are pretty close but 01 is darker so 03 is a better match. It has a slanted tip and is neither too hard or too soft. I have decently full brows so I mostly use it to shade sparser areas and fill in the front a little. The Unleshia is my new favorite brow setter. The spoolie comes out super full of product from the tube so I clean it off on my hand and apply on one eyebrow then dip back into my hand for the second brow. It's white but dries clear. It's a firm hold but not too crunchy.
On the days they're less done I use a fiber brow gel like the Urban Decay Big Bush Volumizing Tinted Brow Gel . I like it for a quick look but it doesn't look as done up as the combo.
For today's Met Me in Miami blush, I once again took my inspiration from the sunset pic in the collage. This time from the color at palm-leaf height.
Yves Saint Laurent Make Me Blush 24H Buildable Powder Blush 37 Peachy Nude
This color is different from any other color I have, @CynthieLu . Great first choice...now, which color to choose next...🤔
