Desperate for contour/highlight products for extremely pale skin!

Hi, so I’m a vibrant natural redhead with very pale, translucent, cool toned skin for some reason and it’s really hard to find contouring products that don’t make me look orange or brown. The best foundations I’ve found so far have been beautyblender’s lightest shade and makeupforever matte velvet skin’s lightest shade. I use fenty beauty stix in amber for contour and linen for highlight. Amber is the best I’ve found so far but it’s still really hard to blend. Linen is noticeably darker and more yellow so I basically have to use it as a second foundation. I’m wondering if anyone has ideas on better choices for maximum blendability? I love palettes but none of them look light enough...

@tinybrainiac If you want to try a super affordable option, I’ve had success with the Catrice Prime and Fine Contouring Palette in Ashy Radiance. The highlight is nothing special - I rarely use it - but the contour is a soft, blendable powder. If you want to see how it performs, one of my favorite YouTubers - thataylaa - uses and loves it, and she’s even more fair than I am.

Hi @tinybrainiac ,

The  Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Match Stix Matte Contour Skinstick Amber  is a great contour color option for fair skin. 🙂 If it's difficult to blend, I suggest warming the product up on the back of your hand, then pick the product up from your hand with a contour brush. Then use the brush to apply the product to your skin, and build up slowly.

I have found this makes the product much creamier/easier to blend than applying the contour stick directly onto my skin. I hope this helps!

Best regards,

Laurie

I'm also super pale, and the Amber matchstick is the only thing I've found to be useful /natural-looking as a contour.  Applying it from the back of the hand def helps, but it's still pretty hard to blend.  You basically just have to apply it lightly and build up, instead of blending out, if that makes sense?

For highlighter, if you want a matte shade, the porcelain matchstick is little lighter than linen.  But honestly, start trying eyeshadows.  The Too Faced I Want Kandee palette has a shade that I think is called Ice Cream, that I use on my brow bone and down my nose.  It's matte and not-quite-white, and gives me that just barely-there glow.

The KEVYN AUCOIN - The Sculpting Contour Powder

is one I've found works pretty well with my fair skin, it's a nice light, grey undertone contour powder that is easy to blend.
