Cheek Challenge Winter 2024: Mocktail Makeup

Hey, we're back at it, collab'ing with @sister13 for Makeup Challenge of the Week 2021/2022/2023   Time to get cheeky, winter style with...

Blush Cocktails!!!

Creating cheeked out versions of cocktails but with makeup - custom combos of complexion products like concealer, blush, highlighters, bronzers.   Don't just think of layering.  Break out your mixing palettes (or palms or back of your hands if that's what ya got)!  Basically, recipes with blushes inspired by boozy beverages.  Get all the glam of the chic cocktails, but none of the calories. 😂 (Great if you're also doing a dry January).  If you're not sure what a particular drink looks or tastes like, that's okay!  These threads are all about interpretations of looks.

Jan 14-20: Cherry Cola/Cherry Cocktail Lips + Cheeks. Think ombre lips and burgundy or deep red looks.

Jan 21-27: Hot Toddy Week. Think bright and sultry, go for golds and honey or amber colors.
Jan 28-Feb 3: Espresso Martini\Martini Week.  This is the martini look - green and shimmer, but you could also add a deep lip to it or go for brown or plum version.

Feb 3-10: Maiden's Blush or Cosmopolitan Week This is the one that started it - Maiden's Blush, by RMS beauty.  It's coral, shimmery and warm.

Feb 11-17: Red Wine & Hot Chocolate - If you do partake in alcohol, try this it's delicious.  The look speaks to red and brown, but again, you choose.

Feb 18-24: Pink Blush /Blush Wine - Essentially, this is a pink look, but pinks have all sorts of tones, so have fun playing with this, whether it's all pink or a pop of pink.

Red Wine and Hot Chocolate - While I have never mixed the two together, I do enjoy each on their own. I will need to try this out!

@CynthieLu Thank you 🙏. I will definitely need to try the Jelly tint again to get a better idea of how I like it. I tried applying with a brush to one side but it was not showing up with the intensity I wanted for underpainting. That might be a better idea when applying on top of foundation. So I went and applied it directly to my cheeks and I like the effect much better for underpainting. It is inky, wet and jelly. I ended up going over it with other products to achieve this look. I want to try it on my lips next!

I couldn't only imagine as a cheek stain, there has got be a learning curve to it. You'll figure out your favorite way to apply it, 😉 with some fun playing around I imagine.

I love the way your look turned out for this! The way your do your eyeshadows is so good!

This is my cheeky look for

For my blush combo I used Danessa Myrics PrimaDonna higher up on my cheeks blended into Bellini lower down
