Welcome to Brows, Brows, Brows, a new group in the Beauty Insider Community dedicated to all conversations about eyebrows – perhaps the most important face-framing feature! ✨
Whether you pluck, wax, shave, draw, tint, or leave your brows untouched, Brows, Brows, Brows is a place for Community members to get product recommendations and discuss eyebrow maintenance routines. All shapes, sizes, colors, and styles of brow are welcome! 😊
Click the “Reply” button below and let us know your current eyebrow routine! Be sure to use the “#” symbol to tag any holy-grail brow products.
I am in need of some help with this topic. I pretty much mastered drawing out my brows over the years, my favorite products for that is Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW® Waterproof, Smudge-Proof Brow Pomade because my eyebrows are very sparse and thin, I need something thick to help me shape them out and have them appear thicker. As far as wearing my natural brows, that is a complete disaster. I have tried growing them out it just seems they grow out in random spots, never making them appear fuller or thicker. Does anyone recommend any good eyebrow growth serums that really work to make my brows actually look like brows again?! I feel like I have tried everything!
@torbuckley My favorite eyebrow growth serum is RevitaBrow. I've used it on and off for years.
Oh this is clever! With all the mask wearing I’ve been doing for the past year my brows have definitely been my focus! ☺️
I really liked the Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Brow Harmony Pencil & Gel - but my staples are still Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz® Ultra-Slim Precision Detailing Eyebrow Pencil and then setting with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel Clear. Can’t go wrong with these two products!
Now this could be my happy place because I can’t not do my brows even if I am wearing nothing else on my face.
My most favourite brow product that I keep coming back to over and over again is
Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil Dark Brunette
Absolutely agree! "Putting my Brows on" -be it with a trad.pencil, pen, powder, or pomade, makes *everything else* so much easier! It's nice not looking sleepy.
An old Thread, but a goodie!
I'm with you @fatimamummy I can go out bare faced, but I can't leave the house without doing my brows!
Ikr? @myxducky My face looks naked if I don’t fill my brows.
Oh, it'll be interesting to see what kinds of discussions happen in this group! I may be a lipstick junkie, but brow pencil is the only makeup item I never leave home without. Well, except that one night I had to quickly evac my building (fire alarm) after I'd done my PM skincare routine—and even then, I'll admit I had a fleeting "BUT MY BROWS" moment before grabbing my coat on my way out the door. 🤣
My brow routine involves products Sephora USA unfortunately doesn't sell. I always use the Kimiko Super Fine Eyebrow Pencil Automatique. The shade Black Tea is my perfect color match, and I love this pencil's drier-than-usual (but not chalky/brittle dry) texture. I never carve out my brows or draw an outline around them; I prefer them to look more natural, even a bit messy. Since my brow tails are sparse, sometimes I use MAC Shape + Shade + Shade Brow Tint (shade Stud, and just the brush end, never the powder tint end) to add a few hairs, then fill my entire brow with the Kimiko pencil.
My dermatologist wishes I'd stop using tweezers, but that's how I've always maintained my brows. At least I no longer overpluck, or tweeze my right brown into a higher-than-natural arch to better match my left brow's higher arch. Now I'm able to maintain lower arches on both brows, which means far less plucking. I normally use my trusty Revlon Expert Tweezer (slant tip). But sometimes I use TWEEZERMAN Ultra Precision Slant Tweezer instead: it's way overpriced but, eh, I got it as a gift and it works well for me.
@WinglessOne I'm really glad to hear that I am in good company when it comes to brows! I still laugh at the one day years ago I managed to go to work without doing my brows and how horrified I was when I realized I had forgotten to fill then in that morning!
@myxducky Brow fanatics, unite! ❤️
The last time I left (aside from the fire alarm night) without filling my brows, I was on my way to Target. I realized my mistake after walking about 2 blocks away from home. Luckily I had a spare brow pencil in my bag, otherwise I'd have walked back home to correct my error. 😂 I keep saying I'll have my brows microbladed someday, once I find someone I'm convinced won't mess them up—well, also once we're out of pandemic times.
@WinglessOne 😂😂 I probably should add a brow gel to my emergency bag. 🙂
@Ispend2much6 I slipped a spare Kimiko brow pencil into mine after that night. 🤣 That pencil can't be bought at any local stores (I'm not sure the brand's sold in any US physical stores), so I'd have to reorder it online—assuming it doesn't go OOS again—and that'd be too long for me to go without. Sure, I could fall back on Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil Waterproof Eyebrow Definer Shade 6 as a backup, but it's not the same at all.
So I definitely wouldn't judge you for having brow gel in your emergency bag. Someone would open mine and see spare Rx meds, Claritin-D, Aquaphor Ointment, and brow pencil, and they'd probably question my priorities.
@WinglessOne. Good idea to pack nonprescription meds. I bought the DE Littles hair and body set to put in mine so I could have those basics taken care of..
My routine is pretty low-key for the past year, but I'd like to take it up a notch, somehow. I have a ton of brow products, but would love to come up with a routine that I can repeat, repeat, repeat without thinking about.
Pluck, trim, and then use Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW® Gel in Granite.
I'm using Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW® Waterproof, Smudge-Proof Brow Pomade Medium Brown at the moment..I had this great sample with a cute little brush). BUT, I always go back to my #KVD Vegan Beauty Super Pomade Vegan Eyeliner, Shadow & Brow Pigment Medium Brown . Super pomade has a hold like a charge on a credit card... IT STAAAYS 😂
@danielledanielle Good to know about the KVD, since I live in a high humidity area.
@Ispend2much6 , I definitely wear it to the gym
@TeamBIC I miss the days of doing my brows! It was my favorite part of my routine. So, I'll post my old routine: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo Dual-Shade Powder Eyebrow Makeup to fill in, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz® Ultra-Slim Precision Detailing Eyebrow Pencil for the tail. And when I was feeling ambitious and wanted more of a peak on my arch, SEPHORA COLLECTION Microblade Effect Brow Pen .
@greeneyedgirl107 ABH brow powder is my second favourite brow product.
@greeneyedgirl107 I may have to steal your idea for using a brow pen for the arch. Thanks! 😊
@Ispend2much6 The Sephora one was decent. The brown ran a little red, but I didn't mind since I used such a small amount. I wanted to explore other brow pens, but then the pandemic came. If you stumble across any other ideas for getting a more pointed arch, please let me know. I even have a very precise brow brush by MUFE, but I can't get it how I used to with my cheap-o brush years ago. (I over-used it, and couldn't find a replacement.) I hate it when my brows don't have a good enough peak, and look flat.
