Thought I'd start a thread just for Viseart since so many of us LOVE them.

I love to encourage a small brand as opposed to a brand where you pay for the name. The eye shadow quality can't be beat!

Saw this on Facebook a while back and thought I'd add it here.

A 12 color Viseart Eyeshadow Palette is $80 USD (before pro discount). Each eyeshadow pan is 2 grams and valued at approx. $6 ($3.00 per gram).

MAC has reduced the price of their single eyeshadows refills from $10 USD to $6 USD each. So 12 colors at the new reduced price would be $72 USD (before pro discount). Add the $8 USD empty palette to store them and we're back to $80 USD.

EXCEPT: Each MAC eyeshadow pan is only 1.3 grams ($4.62 per gram). You're getting only 15.6 grams of product, as opposed to the 24 grams of eyeshadow in the Viseart palette. That's a loss of over 8 grams of product.

FINAL ANALYSIS:
It would cost $119 USD for MAC to duplicate the Viseart palette (24 grams of MAC eyeshadow at $4.62 per gram and $8 for the palette).

That is a great buy, @AMK721! I paid full price from Beautylish when it first came out. I don't regret it, though. In fact, I used this palette again just last night. I hope you love it!

Hahaha yes we do! 😄 @prettyinpa. Did you get it? I'm still debating... I'm wondering if it will show up at Sephora at some point... if this is just an exclusive for the launch...

@veronika23-  I haven't gotten it yet because I don't have my birthday money yet. I doubt it will sell out between now and then, and if it does, I guess it wasn't meant to be.

@veronika23-  Yeah, the crystalline from GP2 is just fine by me. It's the glittery ones that I don't use because I can never find my mixing solution, it's always in another room. Plus it seems like I still get some fallout with the solution, it's just not as much.

I'm seriously thinking about getting the Coy palette as the colors are right up my alley except the coral, and I love the greens. But I still have a couple of days to think about it until I get my $.

Thanks for this info @prettyinpa. 🙂  The coral would look nice with the green... not the lime one but the other. 😉  Debating still... lol

@veronika23-  Corals just don't look right on me, I don't know if it's my yellow undertone or the red hair, but they just don't. But I can live with not using 1 out of the 12 colors, I really like all the other ones.

Aw ok gotcha @prettyinpa!  Yeah if you really love all the others why not! I mean I hate browns and still buy Natasha's palettes with the browns. 😂

@veronika23 I asked Anastasia on IG if it would be coming to other retailers and she said maybe a few but because they only made 2000 palettes she wasn’t sure.

not sure if that is honesty or just her trying to promote buying it through Muse 🤷🏽‍♀️

Thanks for letting me know @Mochapj.  I just find they always say exclusive and then it ends up at Sephora. I don't want to deal with the shipping and duties of buying from the US with this one.  Are you getting it?

Agree, I wish they’d just be more transparent with their availability.

I considered waiting to see if Sephora got it because I have a rewards bazaar card to use up but I knew I’d be pissed if they didn’t so I grabbed one from Muse.

Cool! I'm sure you can find something else to use your card on. 🙂  I don't remember... does it ship for free and did yo get hit with fees in the past @Mochapj?

@veronika23 in the past they've offered free international shipping if you hit a certain limit (I believe $150?) but I only wanted this palette so I paid for shipping.

90% of the time I've ordered from Muse I haven't been hit with fees. They seem to be pretty good at filling out the customs forms and marking them as gifts so they don't get stopped.

I noticed that Coy does bear some resemblance to the Posy palette that they never ended up releasing (from a colour story perspective) although the finish of Coy is completely different.
