Thought I'd start a thread just for Viseart since so many of us LOVE them.

I love to encourage a small brand as opposed to a brand where you pay for the name. The eye shadow quality can't be beat!

Saw this on Facebook a while back and thought I'd add it here.

A 12 color Viseart Eyeshadow Palette is $80 USD (before pro discount). Each eyeshadow pan is 2 grams and valued at approx. $6 ($3.00 per gram).

MAC has reduced the price of their single eyeshadows refills from $10 USD to $6 USD each. So 12 colors at the new reduced price would be $72 USD (before pro discount). Add the $8 USD empty palette to store them and we're back to $80 USD.

EXCEPT: Each MAC eyeshadow pan is only 1.3 grams ($4.62 per gram). You're getting only 15.6 grams of product, as opposed to the 24 grams of eyeshadow in the Viseart palette. That's a loss of over 8 grams of product.

FINAL ANALYSIS:
It would cost $119 USD for MAC to duplicate the Viseart palette (24 grams of MAC eyeshadow at $4.62 per gram and $8 for the palette).

@lachaton I had the same concerns! There are lots of wearable colors for us fairer ladies 🙂

Thank you! They are more of what I expected in this lighting, direct sunlight makes the shadows look much more sheer 😄

Yes, for sure @k617! The only one I'm kind of surprised about is the 2nd from the left color in the bottom row. In the pan it looks much more mauvey, but it swatches more coppery.

Oh hrm...you're right... but it does seem to be a bit of a chameleon as well! Your first pic it looks more mauvey and in brighter lighting in the second pic it does look coppery!

@k617 Perhaps! On the lid, I'm sure it will look different. And if mixed with the purple in the 2nd row could definitely go more mauvey :). Unfortunately, I don't think I'll get to play with it until we return from vacation. I'm counting on others to post beautiful looks before then 😛

@veronika23 I was in my car during lunch (picked up palette from Fedex), and only did a few light swatches :x.

It's really pretty though. The blue is gorgeous and better formulated than the dark blue in Tom Ford Starry Night, so it'll be a nice compliment. Also love the 2 middle browns and the second color in bottom row. Will try again later!

They look very glittery on a sheer base 😞 I was hoping for something with more pigment!
