Discussion for the Diptyque Crowd (please join!)

If you are a fan obsessed or just a beauty lover curious about Diptyque, come on over! I thought this would be a fun place to share your thoughts, collections, decorating ideas, questions about the fabulous world of Diptyque.

I started out with one candle, the Beverly Hills candle-which is so fabulous-I'll post a picture of it tomorrow-thinking I was crazy to buy a $70 candle. Yes, it's crazy-crazy good! I've since collected 2 or 3 more and purchased a perfume. This week I got my first body care item, the satin body oil. I really love everything from Diptyque.

So let's discuss 🙂 One question I have is how do you get the inside cleaned out so you can use the jars for pretty collections like I see a lot of on social media?

I love Feu de Bois. So nice. 

I also have Volutes! Volutes is sweet from the honey - but still has that tobacco/spicy base. The Volutes EdT has been discontinued, as a heads up. Only the EdP now 

A little bit of internet research suggests the following for Feu de Bois lovers:

I got my goodies tonight! YAY, what an epic event and I am so happy to have shared with you guys and happy a lot of you took advantage of this deal!

@luvgloss13 that GWP sounds like an epic win...I would have LOVED to get my hands on that. How did you know it was coming up etc? I really want to make a purchase to get a GWP similar to that so I can try other products.

Hi guys, I finally went to the Diptyque counter at Saks at the Eaton Centre. Before that I had never been to the counter or smelled the items in person etc. I was blown away. Now what I want to know is when is the best time to make a purchase to get a GWP? 🙂

Nordies does the best gifts IME. Make friends with a good sa.

@Smeegle Nordstrom gwp timings depends on each location. Best way is as lachaton mentioned go through a SA and it helps if it's from the counter itself. 

Nordies Van might have a gwp on Oct 29 for their diptyque master class event. You can pm me if you need details later on.

I shop at saks too with anewxa's SA and he is great.However the Diptyque gwp at saks has a higher buy in than nordies from what I noticed past 2 times.

@Smeegle depends on the store. Your best bet is to find an SA at a counter who will let you know when a special offer is coming up. 

I shop with Nordstrom rather than Saks, so I'm not sure what types of events they would have. @Anewxa might have an idea though, since I believe she shops at Saks

@Smeegle as @lachaton mentioned I do have an SA I shop with at the Sherway Saks. I asked abt gwp just yesterday and currently there is a gwp of a mini candle between 2 choices with $150 min purchase. It may not be the best gwp currently so maybe you want to shop around at nordies/holt to see what they have. He does also offer free shipping and generous with samples if you let him know what you want to try.

Also, there will be a GC event Oct 20-21st, where with any $250 spend incl beauty, you get $35 back in the form of a GC. He usually lets me hold my items till events including the gwps.  Pm me if you need info 🙂

Did anyone get the extra step up gift with the fragrance or just the regular gift? 

any recs for non candles? I feel like I could open my own boutique with candles. I want body products. 🙂

Body Products:    The Satin Oil smells like jasmine and is wonderful! I use it as a body oil and it can be used in the hair as well.  I also like the Precious Oils as a bath oil.  The body lotion is wonderful and will be my next purchase.  It smells like Eau de Sens perfume. The body cream and scrub are really nice!  You can't go wrong with the body products.

Eau Plurielle is a multi use fragrance.  I use it as a linen spray.  The scent lingers for a couple of days on my sheets.  I love it!  It's pricey at $98, however, it's a 6.8 ounce bottle.  It can also be used to scent the skin and air. 

Body Fragrance: I love Eau de Rose (rose and lychee), Eau Duelle EDP (spiced vanilla),  Do Son EDP (tuberose!), and Eau Moheli (ylang ylang).

OMG tell me about it, @lezli. It's such a wonderful fragrance, both for a pick-me-up and for relaxation. I had my sister buy it for me from duty free- lucky I only spent about $50 for the bottle. It's probably the biggest bottle of fragrance I have, but omg I don't ever want to run out of it!! ❤️
