Building a Baked Foundation -- what kind of brush to use?

I bought Laura Geller Baked Foundation and the brush I got is too soft to do more than a finishing powder.

What kind of brush is stiff enough to get coverage for baked foundations, but be gentle to your skin (to not pound it in and look cakey)?

I'd love to hear from an experienced brush lover! I'm 62 with combo skin, and a few fine lines for me to worry about cakey-ness. I am fortunate in my complexion, but pushing foundation into them still draws attention.

I need good coverage to hide rosacea.

Thank you in advance!

I love Laura Geller Baked Foundation too! For a more coverage-friendly brush, I recommend a densely packed kabuki brush or a flat-top foundation brush. They’ll provide better coverage without being too harsh. Also, laura geller customer support is fantastic, they gave me great advice on choosing the right tools.
