Products to help weigh down hair

Most of my hair is normal thickness and very straight, but about 20% is coarse and curly. Normally the weight of the strands keep it from curling up and looking frizzy, but a stylist used those thinning shears on my hair on Monday, and I feel like all those really curly hairs are floating like a halo.

Is there a product I can use to keep them down, until my hair can grow out a bit more?
