Pixie Cut recs

Hey there BIC! I am a few weeks away from getting my pixie cut. Do you have hair styling products you recommend? I would like to read reviews before purchasing. I am open to most brands. Looking for pomade or gels that help shape or give hair textured appearance. I have dark hair so nothing that leaves flakes or my hair crunchy feeling. FYI I havenaturally soft ringlet/ wavy curls. I think probably a mix of 3a 3b curl pattern.

Hi @sunshine202, I have 3A hair and I've worn it in various pixies off and on for about 15 years' worth of time. The products I've ended up loving most in shorter pixies are: waxes/pastes in general, American Crew Fiber in particular, and Kenra Texturizing Taffy most of all (I actually still keep that one in my cabinet in case I decide to go really short again!)

Unfortunately everything I loved for longer pixie styles has been discontinued so I don't have good recommendations there anymore. The closest I've found to a couple old favorites has been IGK Rich Kid coconut oil gel, so it might be worth testing a sample of that to see if it works for you.

@fieldsofclover thank you. The kenra product is on my wishlist. I believe it's only sold at Ulta. They don't offer samples sadly.
