Ouai hair oil vs olaplex hair oil

Hey everyone! I have heat damaged wavy hair, and I’m looking for hair oil that helps with protection and frizz. I have tried the olaplex one and I liked it, but the ouai oil seems to have similar reviews but cheaper and is a bigger size. Which one do you like better?

@Shamssssss I love the Kerastasr Elixir Ultime Hydrating Hair Oil Serum the most, I know it’s not one that you’re among advice on but I’ve tried so many and this one moisturizers the strands and makes a nice healthy shine without cause the hair to look oily. It’s really helped with my frizz and dry hair.

Also I’m reading some other threads about oils and you should try the Gisou oil apparently there’s a lot of love for that one. I’ve never tried it.

I’ve used Kerastase (both the Elixir Ultime and the 8hr Magic night) and I’ve also used the Ouai hair oil. Of those three I liked the Ouai one the best but found the scent overpowering.

For reference, I have brown, straight, super fine shoulder length hair and not a lot of it.

With oils, you have to start at 3 drops and then move up from there bc you risk the chance of being “greasy”…as you see by the reviews and depends on your type of hair. I find oils work better on dry hair for finishing - but again find the amount that works for you.

For the last couple weeks I have bought and have been using IGK Good Behavior 4-in-1 Prep Spray and then air drying and it’s worked better than any of the 3 oils I mentioned. I’ve also blown it out with heat tools and without frizz - it’s a detangler, heat protector to 450 degrees and defrizzing. This detangler replaced my BB Prep Primer spray and also my Ouai detangler. The IGK just does more with just one product. Hope this helps.
