Olaplex for brassy hair?

I went from naturally black hair to blonde and want to purchase the Oaplex 4 and 5 to get my hair healthier. Does the Olaplex shampoo and condition combat brassy hair or would I have to use it with a a separate purple shampoo?

Re: Olaplex for brassy hair?

Hi there! Thank you for your interest in OLAPLEX! Continued use of weekly No.3 treatments will prevent fading and brassiness by extending the life of your color! No.4 and 5 make a great pair as your Shampoo and Conditioner, color safe and ultra hydrating!

Thanks for your interest in OLAPLEX! Let us know if we can help further!

@kissmekay,

I have also used the Olaplex as well! My hair is lifted about 3 levels from my natural color. I find that it does help the blonde look brighter however, I still suggest using a purple product to help tone hair. I suggest the IGK Leave in Blonde drops which you can add to your shampoo or conditioner.

Re: Olaplex for brassy hair?

Hi @kissmekay I know you're interested in Olaplex No. 4 Bond Maintenanceโ„ข Strengthening Hair Repair Shampoo 8.5 oz/ 250 mL  and Olaplex No. 5 Bond Maintenanceโ„ข Strengthening Hair Repair Conditioner 8.5 oz/ 250 mL  but you would be better off using Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector Pre-Shampoo Hair Repair Treatment 3.3 oz / 100 mL  after going blonde. It has a higher concentration of Olaplex's active ingredient. I would recommend purchasing from your local salon and asking them to customize it for you so that it will tone your blonde at the same time. They will know what you are talking about and it shouldnt be an additional cost.
