Messy bun

Hey does anyone do messy buns? Any find they have any tricks or methods to get the messy bun really high and easiest?

Would hair tie or scrunchie be better for messy buns? What do people use more

I think it depends on your hair length, thickness and type etc.. @daniellak77272.

 I have a lot of hair but it's fine so I feel like I don't have enough hair to pull off a good bun.  So I use one of those foam bun shaped dough nut things. 🍩 (Sorry I'm not sure what to call them 😅) too help me make good buns.

I do have to use a poiny tail to secure my hair up and where I want it too keep my bun in place.

@CynthieLu  Can you send photo of the hair ties you use by chance or link of brand to see if similar ones as looking for hair tie options too

@daniellak77272 I'll try to answer your questions.

I have long hair, a few inches below my shoulders but it's very fine meaning my pony tails diameter is about the size of a quarter. 

I use small thin regular hair ties or SEPHORA COLLECTION 6-Piece Coil Hair Tie Set ones that look like this, really anything that isn't a big scrunchie.

I suggest watching how to videos on you tube until you find one that works for you, and be patient with yourself. Learning takes time.

I don't have a picture of the hair doughnut but I'll try to grab one when I'm home next. 

I had a bunch of different sizes of the hair doughnut and it took a lot of trial and error to find the size that worked best for me .

They make a nice clean bun, I think they are best suited for that, but you can play around with it for a messier look.

@CynthieLu  what does your bun look like or turn out without the hair donut item? How does it turn out for you usually do you do sleek or messy usually more what more fun

@CynthieLu How long of hair you have as also have lot of hair? Have you ever done bun without pony first or easier pony first? Are thick or thin hair ties better what holds more? For the donut item are the medium size or big ones better what find works best
