Is Olaplex worth the money?

I have fine, damaged, frizzy and color treated hair. Is the olaplex system really worth all the hype?

Re: Is Olaplex worth the money?

I've only used Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector Pre-Shampoo Hair Repair Treatment 3.3 oz / 100 mL ; I had bleached hair blonde for a year, and then went back to  brunette. I had lost inches due to damage, and my hair was dry, brittle and dull. Once I started using no. 3 once a week, I saw huge improvements. My hair was soft, strong, and seemed so much healthier. Overall I was really happy with the results of using no. 3.

I hope this helps @LyssaMar  🙂

Re: Is Olaplex worth the money?

go to a salon that has olaplex... ask them to comb #1 through your hair and let sit for 10 minutes. Then rinse and comb in #2 and let sit for 15mins. after all is done add #3. This is the REAL olaplex miracle treatment. #3 alone is supposed to maintain that treatment not stand alone. my hair was bleached 4x in 2 weeks and turned to straw. One treatment like this made it softer than it has ever been and it never wore off.

note* this only costs about $30!

Re: Is Olaplex worth the money?

@LyssaMar I'm going to go against a few comments here, but I actually didn't find No. 3 worked that well for me personally. I will however say that No. 6 is a HOLY GRAIL product for me. It's AMAZING. I used to use 3-4 different products in my hair, and now I just use this one and it does a better job than all the other products combined. You use such a teeny amount, that the bottle lasts forever! I found with the No. 3, it lasted about 3 uses for me.

@LyssaMar,

Yes! It also lasts a long time and it really helped repair my damaged bleached hair.

RE: Is Olaplex worth the money?

Hi Lyssa! Olaplex n.3 is definitely worth it

Re: Is Olaplex worth the money?

@LyssaMarI was never interested in this line but I received no.6 in a gratis package and it is like, next level. I have pretty long, thick untreated hair (past bra strap) and my ends can get very damaged. After using no.6, my ends were immediately softer. I've been able to wait longer between cuts and grow my hair out longer. I can't speak to the other products but no.6 is legit. Prior to this, I'd been using argan oil on my ends.

Re: Is Olaplex worth the money?

Hi Lyssa! Thank you for your interest in Olaplex. Olaplex products work great on all hair types, especially with your hair type, you described below! It will not weigh down your hair, it will repair broken bonds resulting in healthy hair, lessen frizz and protect your color all at the same time! Olaplex is highly concentrated and should last you a while.

Please feel free to ask our team any further questions you may have.

Re: Is Olaplex worth the money?

@LyssaMar  Oh girl, you have no idea! Life (hair) changing! Start with the Holy grail Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector Pre-Shampoo Hair Repair Treatment 3.3 oz / 100 mL

and if you have major frizz splurge and get OLAPLEX - No. 6 Bond Smoother Reparative Styling Creme

Re: Is Olaplex worth the money?

Hi @LyssaMar,

I have found it made a big difference in my hair. I have been lightening my hair for months now and this really helps strengthen it!

Best,
Rebecca

Re: Is Olaplex worth the money?

Olaplex has totally helped revitalize my chemically lightened hair. My hair is naturally very thick and coarse, and I use a LOT of daily heat styling. Olaplex (and Ulta’s Uberliss) have worked similarly as bond rebuilders to help reduce breakage and increase manageability. I leave both in overnight for best results and shampoo and condition in the morning.
