I am so confused about how you use this Ouai hair product!!!!! xD

How do you use the Ouai Haircare Treatment mask? I've heard so many answers from different people. And Sephora just says leave it in for 5-10 min then rinse, doesn't say whether you shampoo it first or if that's the only product you use if you are using it to put it in dry hair and just rinse it out and that's it? Can someone please tell me how to use this product correctly?

@VentureBros2021 Hi, hairstylist here. I would never put a mask on dry, you are wasting product that way. All masks/treatments are meant to be applied to clean, damp hair.

So if doing the pre-workout application, does one shampoo it out or just rinse it out? I would think sweaty hair with a treatment masque would require a shampooing but the directions are soooo vague on the packaging. I have a sample and waiting to get the complete instructions before using it.

It's up to you really, but my personal preference is to always shampoo it before, apply the mask and then do a workout or go read a book, watch tv and leave it on for a few hours. With this application I would not shampoo it again after removing it.

Like @GG84 it is a waste of product to apply mask on dry hair. You'll need to use a LOT more to cover the hair and won't get any added benefits.
