Help with my fine, thinning hair!

Hey everyone. Sorry for being MIA from the forums for so long! Im a 30 year old woman, no health issues. Fine hair runs in my family, both my dad, aunt and my grandma (both on his side) have incredibly fine baby like hair, but of course theirs is almost all gone due to their age. My right side is worse than the left and I even had a hairdresser point it out and say its pretty normal for one side to be worse. The back of my head seems ok, but the front is truly awful. These photos were taken an hour after washing and blowdrying. Is there anything I can do for my front bits? Maybe I just have to wait for the bits that got broken from when I was blonde? It has always been fine so I never figured any hairs broke but looking at it now, they mustve. Sigh. I dont need product recommendations because I have all there is to offer, however at this point I will take any other recomendation. Maybe side bangs? Have hair behind ears all the time? Ugh.

@sabrinas

Can you circle the front bits you’re talking about?
It is completely normal to be born with more hair on one side then the other. This is the case for me also, I never noticed it until we did scalp analysis in hair school - my left side has left then my right.

Hiya @GG84 ! It's the front half of my hair, basically where you can start seeing through the mid-ends to my face/neck.  It gets all stringy and separated rather than being a uniform, non see through area of hair.  I was also debating trying rogaine.... I have seen great results, I'd only want to apply it to my temple area of my head since it seems that's where most of my issue lies!

I’m going to DM you

Re: Help with my fine, thinning hair!

I have super fine hair too. Mine was thinning pretty bad, but after taking hair/skin/nail vitamins for a few months I noticed a big difference. My trick to make it less obvious in the front is a long side swept bang. The shortest layer of it starts somewhere around the bottom of my nose or top of my lips and tapers off in length. This helps a lot when it’s pulled up in a clip, bun, or ponytail. My hair looks like it has a lot more frizz or texture than yours, in case I’m wrong about that my other trick is that I stopped flat ironing and started using a hot brush since it smooths without flattening.
