Hair leave-in/detangler choice...

Ok, ive been using the Ouai leave-in and i do like it, but i just wish it weighted my hair down a tiny bit less.

It doesnt weigh my hair down like crazy, but it still does.

Im curious about the Amika one and JVN one; im not sure about the Amika one as it has like 3 different oils, so it might be too much.

What do you guts think ??

I almost forgot to mention that i have thin hair, so they easily tangle when i wash them.

Thank you in advance for the suggestions and tips.

Re: Hair leave-in/detangler choice...

I have recently gotten into using the adwoa beauty Baomintโ„ข Protect + Shine Oil Blend  It's meant to be a scalp oil, but it works really nicely on the rest of my very fine hair for combatting frizz and dullness, and keeping it untangled.

Re: Hair leave-in/detangler choice...

@Emy10  I have fine hair that easily gets weighed down. The JVN did not work for me at all. My go to is Unite 7 seconds detangler.

Re: Hair leave-in/detangler choice...

@faeriegirl  i thought it mightbe too light and might go through the bottle in less than a week lol

Ill have to look for the 7 seconds one

Edit: it seems hard to find.. andon Amazon its 13$ for a travel size bottle lollllll

Re: Hair leave-in/detangler choice...

Hi @Emy10

What are the reasons you are using a leave in conditioner, letโ€™s start there. Is it for tangles, damage, static, heat protection?
Please @ my username so I see your reply.

@GG84  to detangle

Re: Hair leave-in/detangler choice...

@Emy10

Go with amika The Wizard Detangling Hair Primer 5 oz / 150 mL   it shouldnโ€™t weigh your hair down at all.

Re: Hair leave-in/detangler choice...

@Emy10I see alot of good recommendations here โœจ๏ธ ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Can I offer a tip? (Fellow fine hair friend here) Try this before switching brands

When you spray in your leave in conditioner only focus on the ends of your hair, not near your scalp. I like to squeeze the conditioner gently into my hair to help push it in and I let it sit before I tackle brushing. Conditioner on your roots and scalp will weigh it down, so avoid it if you can. I try not to brush my hair wet or damp becuase it's more fragile and prone to breaking. I hope this helps ๐Ÿ’š

My fav spray in is #Briogeo Superfoodsโ„ข Avocado + Kiwi Moisture Leave-In Conditioner 5.75 oz / 170 mL but I'd love to hear thoughts on JVN'S his stuff impresses me so much ๐Ÿฉท

Re: Hair leave-in/detangler choice...

@CynthieLu i focus on the ends and in the middle of my hair because i have knots higher too, so i dont have the choice.

I read that the Briogeo Kiwi leave the hair sticky, whats your experience??

I love the banana conditionner but cant use alot, but i still like it alot.

Re: Hair leave-in/detangler choice...

I use something but have to experiment to find the right dosage for my hair.

Some things work for some people, this one I like but it dosent mean it's rights for others.

My hair dosen't tangle much @Emy10 is fine and long and straight and somehow I've never had to worry about it. I brush before I wash it and it's good. I found gently squeezeling my conditioner or spray in or masks, into my hair helped it work better, I have very dry hair so I need all the moisture help. I'd say, try putting a little more on your ends, none on your scalp. Make sure your hair is damp but not dripping wet before you use it.

@GG84 Can you reccomend good detangler for this situation, Emy10 is having?

Re: Hair leave-in/detangler choice...

@makeupjunkie65  its good that its light, and does it detangle effectively ??

I used lighter ones before and they were not effective enough.

Re: Hair leave-in/detangler choice...

@Emy10 , I have thick wavy hair and I found it to be very effective. Easy to comb through after spraying on and as I said in the first post very lightweight. JVN uses very high quality clean ingredients.

Re: Hair leave-in/detangler choice...

@Emy10 These are the 2 I use for my kiddos and I
