Hair help!!

I’ve had a hard time with my hair my whole life and I can’t get it to grow. It’s super fine and fragile, and prone to frizz. It’s wavy/curly and super lightweight and kind of has a mind of its own! I try not to use heat on it but honestly I’ve never felt like my hair has ever looked good. Can anyone recommend me products to help?! I’ve started to cut back on the amount I wash it, and I’ve been trying my best to look after it (i use high end shampoo, I recently bought broigeo restore and repair mask, I’ve tried lots of the stuff from Living Proof) but it just still feels dry, messy, crazy, and ugly:( I really want to have hair like everyone else and I can’t afford extensions! Here’s a couple pics of my hair on one of its ~better~ days..

Re: Hair help!!

Hi there! My hair has it's days as well and is curly sometimes wavy, but seeing your hair texture, if you just help it a bit with a curl cream/ leave in condition, it will have either defined waves or defined curls. Using high end shampoo might help, but it's more what's in the product that really matters, the brand doesn't make the shampoo. Our hair strands require a balance between protein and moisture. There are a lot a good videos on youtube explaining these things, my favorite ones are the ones of manes by mell, she is a professional hair stylist, and I feel like the information she gives is not just out of her head. Highly recommend!

Here's one that explains moisture vs protein: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lNwvRIBTSw

To get started if it all sounds overwhelming, I really would just start with a curl cream/curl activator, you can find those at any drugstore/walmart, just try a cheap one and see how it looks, if you like it, dive in!

Re: Hair help!!

Hi @NatalieMoreland , the wave that I see in your hair looks gorgeous! Have you considered trying to help your hair from the inside out? One thing I've been doing lately (several months now) is taking HUM NUTRITION - Hair Sweet Hair Growth - Vegan Gummiesdaily. I don't know if I'm imagining it or not, but I'm loving how my hair is feeling and looking lately. Might be worth a try in addition to the external products you're using? And maybe you're already doing something like that! 🙂
