Growing short hair out

I currently have a long pixie with the back being about 1 inch, the right side about 2 inches, and the left side about 6 inches. I've loved it since I got it 14 months ago but now I'm bored and I wanna grow it out because I used to have it to my waist and I miss putting it in a bun and french braids. Not to mention I've embraced my femininity more lately. But I want to avoid the awkward phases as much as possible. Does anybody have tips to avoid the awkwardness? And any tips or products to make hair grow super fast because I'm a junior in high school and I wanna have shoulder length hair by senior pictures in a year. Just for reference, My hair is wavy and fine, and also gets oily very quickly.

@emweb52 Taking biotin supplements can help with the growing process for your hair. I chopped my hair off two years ago and started taking biotin right away and now I have hair down almost to my butt.
