Growing short hair out

I am in the process of growing my short hair out.   It is currently in a pixie cut,  with hair now going over my ears by about an inch.  Any tips for styling while I go through the inevitable awkward hair phase??

If you can swing it extensions are an option. When I grew mine out I used combs, clips, headbands, decorative bobby pins, gel for a slicked back mod look, side part, spikes, hats and wigs. Hair is so fun and you look adorable!!!

Get some wigs! I used wigs to help me grow my hair out.

I've grown my hair out before too and didn't cut it at all. I used a lot of hair wax to somewhat style it as best as I could. Now I find headbands super helpful and easy to wear so that's what I'm doing this time around!

I'm at the chin-length bob stage of growing out a pixie.  I kept getting the back cut short while growing out the front to avoid "mullet" hair.  My go-to styles were a hairline braid, baby pigtails at the nape of my neck, or lots of volume and using styling wax for a piecey rock and roll look.  Have fun!  I actually thought all the pictures taken of me in the "awkward" stage were mad cute!

@realestredhead Get some cute hair clips! I bought a few pairs of the mini clips from ficcare, and that's what got me through the rough/awkward growing out phase. 

Also, even though it seems counterintuitive, get hair cuts fairly often just to reshape your hair. You won't lose too too much length with the cuts, and it will keep some of your peace of mind through the awkward parts.

When I was growing out my bangs, I'd always twist them and pin them back. Sometimes, I'd wear a headband.

Not sure for styling tips but to get over the awkward length time quicker... grow your hair faster... try taking biotin vitamins...they help with your hair/nail growth and help with healthier skin! Also I would recommend OGX shampoos and conditioners... they also have oils and other products to try... my favorites are the coconut water shampoo and coconut milk conditioner and Ive only tried a few of the oils....just don't use too much or it'll look very greasy...next do hair masks...you can find fancy expensive ones in stores or just go on Pinterest and they have tons of DIY hair masks to look through and find something perfect for your hair type... lastly...take care of your hair and if you're styling it with heat use hair protectant...and try to keep it healthy...use less heat...give it trims whenever you get bad split ends....and that's all 💜💜

@kylieeem thanks for all of those tips!! My hair grows super fast anyway (an inch or more a month,  without any vitamins),  but I've started biotin recently.  I'm🤞 that it'll work!!

Braid it, you can never go wrong with some braids and it will help you grow out your hair. That garnier Moroccan oil helps with growing out hair fast and it's only $5 (:
