Getting serious about my hair

I did not mean to put spoilers and I do not know how to remove them lmao, please ignore.

I've been growing out my hair for 3 years. It's gone from roughly chin length to a bit past my shoulder blades (pictures included, excuse my unkempt layers). I was carelessly bleaching and dyeing my hair very often as a teenager, and I'm almost done growing out the damage. I would like to lighten and colour my hair again, this time with care and caution, while keeping my length and having much healthier hair than I used to, so I've started actively caring for my hair.

My current hair care routine is a scalp oil and massage once a week before shampoo, hair mask and conditioner. I apply the Verb Ghost Oil to damp hair. I have a scalp scrub on the way to use once every week or two weeks. I usually only wash my hair once a week unless something happens that I need to wash it more often (such as my tree sap incident last night 😕 ).

Does anyone have any hair care advice for me? I want long, strong hair, and I would love to be able to lighten it again.

I have what I would consider excessively healthy hair. I spend a ton of $ on maintaining it. However, this year I decided to go on a blonde journey (in salon). Despite the process being done over multiple sessions and with care, I still have some breakage that I notice (bc it was so healthy before). I notice it mainly at the front where my money pieces are (our hair is most delicate there). My advice would be to start treating the delicate areas NOW with bond builders to get them ready for lightening to avoid the future damage. I would treat the top layer of the hair focusing on the front area. I’ve been using these two Virtue Damage Reverse Hair Serum 1.7 oz / 50 mL and K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask 1.7 oz/ 50 mL

@GG84 good info!  Thank you!  Now I want to try Virtue Damage Reverse Hair Serum 1.7 oz / 50 mL as well as the Living Proof Triple Bond Complex Leave-in Hair Treatment 1.5 oz / 45 mL I had seen you recommend.

I loveeeee the Virtue product. I don’t love paying full price for it though lol (perk of being a stylist, we get most hair products 50% off but I can’t get virtue)
