Between May 2^nd and May 31^st at 11:59pm Pacific Time, comment on this thread by hitting “reply” and sharing a hair tip that changed your life! ELIGIBILITY: Open Only to SEPHORA COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHO ARE Legal Residents OF, AND RESIDING IN, THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA (EXCLUDING QUEBEC) WHO ARE OF LEGAL AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR JURISDICTION OF RESIDENCE (AND AT LEAST 18). Void in quebec and Where Prohibited. Employees (and their immediate families (spouse, and parents, children and siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same households, whether or not related) of Sephora USA, Inc. (“Sponsor”), its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to enter or win. By participating, entrants (and, if eligible minors, their parents or legal guardians) agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and/or judges, which are binding and final on matters relating to this sweepstakes. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state and local laws.

SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Sweepstakes will begin on May 2, 2022 at the time the Sweepstakes Post is posted, and ends May 31, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. PT (“Sweepstakes Period”).

HOW TO ENTER:  During the Sweepstakes Period, to enter, find the post in Sephora’s Beauty Insider Community forum about this sweepstakes and comment with your best hair tip. There is a limit of one (1) entry per day; however, each entry must include a hair tip that is substantially different from any other hair tip provided by you, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. PT on May 31, 2022. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means or by any means which subvert the entry process are void. Entries in excess of the stated entry limit will be void. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple accounts in an attempt to circumvent the entry limitation. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent these Official Rules, your entry may be void. Entries become the sole property of Sponsor. All Community terms and guidelines apply.

Drawing:  Potential winners will be selected in a random drawing held on or about June 6, 2022 from all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Potential winners will be notified by direct message and may be required to execute and return an affidavit (or, declaration) of eligibility, a liability release and, where lawful, a publicity release within seven (7) days of date of issuance. If such documents are not returned within the specified time period, a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or a potential winner is not in compliance with these rules or is no longer a Sephora Community member, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate winner will be selected. If a Canadian resident, the potential winner will be required to correctly answer a time-limited, skill-testing question without any assistance in order to be eligible to receive a prize. Failure to answer the question correctly will result in the prize being forfeited. Only three (3) alternate winners will be selected after which the prize shall remain unawarded.

Prize And APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”) (15): USD$200 in Sephora e-Gift Cards (terms and conditions apply to use). ARV: $200 each. Total ARV of all prizes USD$3,000. Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied. The most life changing hair tip I’ve ever received was to emulsify your shampoo and only wash your scalp not all of your hair! Then of course use your conditioner. Btw Olaplex No. 4 Bond Maintenance™ Strengthening Hair Repair Shampoo 8.5 oz/ 250 mL and Olaplex No. 5 Bond Maintenance™ Strengthening Hair Repair Conditioner 8.5 fl oz/250 ml are absolute game changers!!! Another life changing tip is to spray dry shampoo all over your scalp in sections then let it sit in your hair for 20 mins then massage it into your scalp. It helps absorb the oils till your next wash.

I try to wash my hair less often because I know that it is healthier for my hair and scalp. I have been using Living Proof Perfect hair Day (PhD) Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo 5.5 oz / 184 mL . It helps my hair last longer in between washes, gives my hair texture and helps freshen up my hair. I spray on my hair after styling to help my hair last longer. I spray in after a work out when I don't have time to wash my hair. Dry shampoo has become a regular part of my hair routine.

My favorite hair tip is to apply product that I used to use on dry hair to damp hair post-shampooing. It's a game changer for a curly girl like myself. My curls always turn out more bouncy and vibrant this way. Also, the product I cannot live without would probably be my Aquis Lisse Luxe Hair Towel Cloudy Berry it dries my hair up without frizzing it like other hair towels and it also makes a great masking companion by keeping my wild tresses out of my face completely. I also use it as a double layer for intense (overnight) masking days. Such an amazing investment. 🙂

This is more of a winter tip/hack, but for static-y hair, rub a dryer sheet over it. Alternatively, you can rub the dryer sheet over a comb (or brush), and run the comb (or brush) through your hair to eliminate the static.

A great leave in after washing and conditioning is a must to add extra moisture and keep hair feeling manageable and soft. My favorite is Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair!™ Strength + Moisture Leave-In Spray Hair Mask 4 oz/ 118 mL.

If you want more volume in your hair, sometimes a volumizing shampoo or volumizing styling product is not the answer. Try cutting back on color and/or heat styling.  Switch out your conditioner for a mask. Improving hair health can go a long way toward increasing volume if you are patient.

My hair is dry and tend to get frizzy.  I use a leave in conditioner to moisturize my hair and tame the frizzies.

One tip is to pat the hair dry instead of rubbing vigorously.  Leave in conditioners are great for dry damaged hair.  It helps to get the hair back healthy again.
