Frizzy dry Hair

I have long curly hair, and they can get

tough to handle. I like to keep them loose but it they can pretty frizzy ,dry and take up a lot of volume, difficult to handle or dry to touch. I generally do shampoo and conditioner and then argan oil after wash.

Any recommendations, on budget? Just a note , i use dandruff shampoo.

Re: Frizzy dry Hair

I also have really frizzy, long 2b/2c curly hair. My frizz mostly comes from damage due to constant ponytails (working out) and riding helmets for horseback riding 3-5 days a week.

It would help to know what shampoo and conditioner exactly you are using, but I will say dandruff shampoo can be very drying (some people even use it as body wash to get rid of back acne!).

I would recommend trying some different shampoos and conditioners tailored towards dry hair and/or curly hair. I'd also add in a leave-in conditioner. I use Oribe, the detangler/leave-in potion in the green bottle. It's expensive but a little goes a long way and it WORKS. On a more friendly budget, shea moisture makes many good products for curly hair and it's available at the drugstores.

If you want to add some definition to your curls you could try a mousse or a light weight gel/jelly. I like Curlsmith shine line for those types of products. They aren't too expensive and work pretty well, at least for me. Good luck! Your hair is very beautiful just needs some working 🙂

Re: Frizzy dry Hair

Thanks for the reply @Sarah123123 . This really helps, i will try the products you recommended.

I generally use Nizoral shampoo and i switch between Briogeo super moisture and Ordinary conditioner.

The shampoo dries my hair and conditioner barely helps for few hours, so i will try the leave in potion.

Thanks again! ☺️
