Extreme Hair Shedding

Help please! Out of nowhere the past few weeks I’m loosing hair like CRAZY. Shower drain full every shower, every time I brush my hair it’s handfuls. Very abnormal and super alarming. I can already tell the difference in my pony tail it’s significantly thinner. I’m freaking out at this rate I’ll be bald in a month. Any suggestions? No new hair product, no new routine literally nothing has changed. So

can any mine recommend products or treatments that will help?

Re: Extreme Hair Shedding

@ambo81 I agree with everyone else here - if you haven’t made any routine changes, definitely make an appointment with your health care provider/dermatologist to see if you can find a root cause to the issue. I’ll recommend some products I personally use and love for my thin/thinning hair, but no product is magic and it’s best to find out what’s going on to permanently solve the issue!

I experienced stress/anxiety related hair loss years ago, and my hair is already a finer texture. This is what I love to help build density, as well as hide some more troublesome spots:

Re: Extreme Hair Shedding

@ambo81   I experienced this last year.  It was quite traumatic.  I went to a triciologist who examined my scalp and determined I was experiencing telliegen effluvium which is thankfully a temporary condition given you remove whatever stressor caused the loss.   For me it was undiagnosed cealiac but it could be anything from an allergic reaction, stress digestive issues…. you should see a doctor about this.  It’s very common but getting to the root of the issue as soon as possible is recommended.

Re: Extreme Hair Shedding

I would start with getting bloodwork done if you can. A lot of hair loss can be attributed to nutrient deficiency. Bloodwork can set a good base in your understanding of what your body needs. Check for any recalls on the products you use as well!

For hair density I’ve noticed a difference using the Briogeo hair density serum in combination with the Holiroots hair oil!
