Dry Bar Curling Iron? Hair amateur

Need hair help!!! Has anyone tried the new dry bar curling iron? The wand, not the 3 day bender. I'm ridiculously bad at doing anything cute to my hair so need something idiot proof. I have very frizzy wavy/curly hair naturally but luckily it straightens easily. Do I hope dry and then curl or blow dry, straighten, and curl? Any other suggestions??? Thanks!

Saw your question and just wanted to answer.  Im Danielle and I work with Iles Formula.  I am a hairdresser, so I thought id help you out with this question you have.

First things first, you want to be sure you are using a thermal protecting product, and a product that will help ensure best results with styling.  I love our Iles Formula Finishing Serum for this.  I will add a link below, but your hair will just fall in love with it.  It helps to eliminate frizz and provide great styling results that last.

Next, in regards to styling, the wand from dry bar is a great tool but can take some practice.  If you haven't fully learned the technique, I recommend practicing with the heat off first so you can get the motions without burning you or your hair.

You will want to blowout your hair first using a round brush if possible.  You definitely can power dry and then smooth a bit if your hair does not power dry with some control, but that is extra tools being used on the hair.  I alway say its best to start with a nice smooth finish for best results.  If you are going beachy and your hair dries nice and somewhat beachy, all you will need to do is touch up with the iron.  Most don't have this luxury though 😉
