Dandruff and colored hair??

I have neon pink hair and would like to keep it that way but I also have horrible dandruff??? I used to use head and shoulders and not care about the damage it was doing to my hair cuz i needed a quick relief! But it has gotten to the point where that doesnt even work! No matter what I do I will wake up the next day with exterme itchy clumps of dandruff all over my head! I have dry hair it barely gets oily and I dont want to use anything that isnt color safe cuz I cant afford to color it all the time! PLZ HELP!!!

@Anonymous Sounds like dry scalp, dandruff is different and oily. Heads and Shoulders isn't the greatest. Neutrogena t/gel (coal tar) or t/sal (salicylic acid) shampoo - t/sal may be gentler on the color - don't use as your regular shampoo, leave on a few minutes on the scalp and rinse and repeat, then a hydrating conditioner. Dry scalp/dandruff shampoo can be drying. The t/gel extra strength works for itchies.

Another option: Phyto scalp oil, it rebalances with natural oils.

Could try a color safe clarifying shampoo, like redken cream shampoo.

I like to add 2 drops of tea tree oil to my shampoo each time I wash my hair and it helps with my psoriasis, but unfortunately everyone is different and consulting with a dermatologist could really help too!
