Damaged hair

I need recommendations for dry, damaged, and dead hair. I’ve tried various different hair masks and hair oils? But I can’t see much of a difference. So could you guys give me some recommendations?

Re: Damaged hair

@edenjoyly Do you know why your hair is damaged?  Do you color it or do you feel as though it's damaged from being dry?  Have you tried any products from Olaplex or K18?

Re: Damaged hair

It’s damaged because I dyed it so much and I’ve used heat styling products a lot. I’ve used K18 before for a month, but it hasn’t improved it a lot.

Re: Damaged hair

Hi,

I have had the same thing happen to me and I found that the Redkens Acidic Bonding Shampoo and Conditioner or the Pureology Strength Cure Strengthening Shampoo and Conditioner for Damaged Color-Treated Hair really helped. I also learned that damaged hair really needs a lot of moisture to help strengthen it so it does not breaking off or create split ends. For moisture and repair i tried so many products and the only products that would hydrate and strengthen my hair was the Virtue Strengthening Split End hair Repair Serum Treatment, the Virtue Hydrating & Heat Protectant Healing Hair Oil and the Color Wow Dream Cocktail Kale-Infused Strengthening Leave In Treatment. Because you said that your hair is heat damaged i would recommend to only use heat once or twice a week.

I work at a trichologist office so here is the wash day routine that we give many people with damaged hair. I also wanted to let you know that when it comes to conditioner and shampoo you normally want to use one line so if you end up using the ones I recommend you should choose either the pureology line or the redkens line.

Wash Day Routine

  1. Start off by wetting your hair and then shampooing your hair
  2. After shampoo is rinsed out you will want to put conditioner on the lengths of your hair and leave it on for about 3 minutes and then wash it out
  3. After you are done washing your hair (out of the shower)  apply a leave in to the hair and then brush it through
  4. If you are using the virtue split ends treatment then apply 1 - 3 drops into hand and then apply to hair
  5. Next you will want to put a heat protectant in. If you are using the Virtue heat protectant then you will want to put 1 - 3 pumps of products into hands and then apply to hair
  6. Lastly style as desired

Hope this helps
