Hello!

I have highlighted hair and have a difficult time giving my hair that shiny look. I have seen many people with highlighted hair with limited broken pieces and non dry looking. What can I do to achieve this?

Hi @kizaaa 

You are talking about a few issues here: breakage, dryness and dull hair. 

Breakage happens during the lightening process/after as the hair isn’t strong enough to withstand the chemicals and snaps off mid shaft. I take EXTREMELY good care of my hair and I still get a few breakage pieces after my balayage appointments. I would start to use K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Mini Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask 0.5 oz/ 15 mL . It will strengthen your hair from the inside. 

Dryness - amika Hydro Rush Intense Moisture Hair Mask with Hyaluronic Acid this will help add softness and moisture back. 

For shine amika Top Gloss Shine Spray

@GG84 I use Redken Heavy Cream and love it.  Should I try amika Hydro Rush Intense Moisture Hair Mask with Hyaluronic Acid or stick with the Redken?  I haven't heard of this product before.  For reference, my hair is naturally wavy, dry and frizz prone.

A hair dresser at Dry Bar told me once that my blonde hair’s biggest problem was being dry since bleach is so stripping.

a good hydrating mask & some quality leave ins should help!!

@BrideyRo Thank you for you recommendations ! Should these products be used on separate days? For instance, if you use the strengthening leave in treatment one day, do you use the shine spray as well?
