fellow artists who've been drawing since they were a very young child -->

you know how you're supposed to "learn the rules before you break them" --> well if you've been "breaking the rules" your whole artist career, when is it time to learning them? --> i personally am not looking forward to this learning period very much at all (i'm 14 and have been drawing more cartoony/stylized art since i was like 3) --> would (very) slowly learning proportions and color theory and stuff while still doing stylized art most of the time be just as fine? --> what do you guys think? 🙂
