All of mine stem from things I saw as a child:
I loved it when Elizabeth Taylor wrote "No Sale" in lipstick on a mirror in "Butterfield 8"

And Bette Davis's crazy makeup in "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?"

I always loved Homer Simpson's invention of the "makeup gun"

And I still want that machine that did Judy Jetson's hair on "The Jetsons." I couldn't find a pic.
@greeneyedgirl107 , #OMG I Haven't Seen It Yet, But I Hear The Movie #BrokeBackMountain Is Chalk-Full Of #IconicBeautyMoments ✨
5 fave Beauty Moments (iconic characters) from 1960's telly:
1) Lily Munster (Yvonne DeCarlo) - the epi. when she became a model. She's a lady with stylish conviction and flare. That satin Cape! The dramatic streak in her coif! Plus, that Flawless winged liner.*
2) Catwoman (Eartha Kitt) escaping Jail with a bobbypin! Plus, her unmistakable voice & awesome costumes!
3) Marya the Spy (Nita Talbot) on H.Heroes 1966 epi. "A Tiger Hunt in Paris pt.2" - her utterly perfect up-do coif and eye mu. She also uses an artis-type mu brush with comic flare. And her voice, of course!
4) The dated-yet-timeless allure of Morticia Addams!
(Caroline Jones). Cutting the heads off Roses; Swanning-around. She had many great style-moments on The Addams Family.
5) That Girl 's (Marlo Thomas) coif, 'The Flip' was just so fab! Still is. It's an easy & cute hairdo.
And her eye mu was 'on point'.
* trivia alert: Bud Westmore was the MUA for The Munsters. Not to be confused with Westman.
Every second of Moira Rose onscreen in "Schitt's Creek" including the rare barefaced shots. Her makeup communicates so much about her.
And, omg, the scene in "The Witcher" when Yennifer first appears at the ball after her transformation. The makeup, the hair, that DRESS!!
Moira Rose wears red lipstick so well. Bright & perfect!
@tg1973. And her costumes! Wigs on the wall ?
I just was taken-aback by an epi. in which she slept with eye mu on. Gasp!
As for "moments", one of the best humorous ones that is from one of my all time favorite movies is when Karen is getting ready for the dance in Mean Girls. That always gives me a chuckle and I remember watching this movie as a pre-teen and falling in love with her "sparkles" (despite her K being backwards, lol!)
The Kardashian sisters makeup when they did a Japanese trip episode of "the Kardashians". 🤚so much cute 💗
Here are my favorite beauty looks ever: The Spice Girls as themselves in Spice World, Julia Roberts as Vivian in Pretty Woman, Uma Thurman as Mia in Pulp Fiction, Natalie Portman as Nina in Black Swan. I have lots of time lately and rewatch my faves, it so much fun! I mostly stream everything from IPTV on my firestick and was thinking a lot how legal is streaming and IPTV in particular? here is a great article about it. What is your opinion about it? How do you guys stream those super old movies which are not on Netflix?
New favorite from the Netflix limited series "Halston:" Halston creating his iconic fragrance
Oh, will need to seek this out. The biography of Halston by Stephen Gaines is an excellent page-turner, btw.
All the scenes from "Self Made!"

Alison Brie's epic makeup remover scene from season 3 of "Glow." Now, if I could just find a gif of Sheila applying the nail polish to her teeth for the wolf look.

When Michele Pfeiffer becomes a hair stylist in "Married to the Mob," and shouts, "Next victim!" to her clients.

Anyone remember the 90s show "New Attitude" which was centered around a hair salon?

@Falaria Good one! It reminded me of this part:

Another great one from the original "Hairspray" movie:

Found this one by accident:

Too funny! Glad we don't have to resort to using an Ironing Board. Hope it's Ok to bump this fun Thread?
@MvLL I hate to admit it but when I was in highschool that was my go to hair tool! The Conair straightener I had just didnt get the job done as well! 😂
My mom tells me they really did that among her friends in junior high or high school
What would happen if you added starch
@gingerleigh Redken used to make a spray starch!
