The holidays are going to be strange this year. Many people, including myself, are unable to celebrate with family or simply the way they want to. On the news this morning they were discussing that many people are decorating early because they feel they need cheer. I put my tree up a couple days ago. I was thinking it would be nice to see other people's decorations and spread the cheer. I am NOT just talking about Christmas. I consider myself mostly Jewish but grew up celebrating many holidays and have a Christmas tree of my own. So no pressure in terms of holiday or religion. Whatever you want to share. I finished putting the details on my tree today.
We're making our own "white Christmas" since nature won't be delivering.
Looks pretty, @Ispend2much6! We had a white week here. ❄️
@curlychiquita Thanks- I hope yours lasts for a few more days. 🙂
@Mcakes Some parts of your state gets more snow than us!! I bought these vinyl decals off of Amazon. The package contained enough to cover four double windows and a sliding glass door. I'll bet Babycakes will like it. 🙂
In the past I have used a decal and spray snow to make snowflakes on the windows, but all of our stores were out of it this year!
@Ispend2much6 that's a good deal! I'm hoping to take her to see the real thing soon!
@Mcakes. I hope you can capture the first time she touches it on video! Those first time memories are so precious to keep forever. What a wonderful time of life for you guys.
@Ispend2much6 I would send you some, but it melted overnight.
@Samtian That's very sweet of you. 🙂 Would you believe you're not the first person to offer that?
When my kids were little, because snow is kind of a rarity where we live, I put some snowballs in the freezer to bring out during the summer for a snowball fight. You can guess what happened- they became ice balls, and very painful to be hit with!
@Ispend2much6 Hahaha Oh i love that story, that made me laugh a lot. I have no doubt I'm not the only one who volunteered snow lol.
@Samtian It's because I never shut up about snow. lol We had a lot of it growing up, and I've never recovered over that loss. I know, of all things to get hung up on...
@Ispend2much6 HAHA. Well there could be worse things.
@quspork Thanks! Frosty looks happy, even with a dearth of snow. lol
@Ispend2much6 love your snowflakes! Very cute.
@sprocketta. Thanks! At least we don't have to shovel this snow.😆
