Re: Cosmetic Bags

Hey @NaavaMott ! Cute bag!

I like to travel as light as possible, so my usual travel makeup bags are small. For week+ long trips, I used to always pack this Kipling 100 Pens Case:

These cases have an insert: a rigid flap with more pen-holder elastics. I cut that flap out to make more room for makeup.

2 years ago, I bought an esum brush book to use as a slightly larger travel case:

This case can hold a lotta stuff, yet it’s still small enough to not take up much valuable real estate in my suitcase/bag. I bought mine as a set with a bunch of esum brushes and mini brush cleaner, which is why they’re in those photos. But esum does sell this brush book on its own.

If I’m just doing a 2-3 day trip, or staying home and need to carry makeup in my tote bag while I’m out and about, then I use an even smaller bag. I’d usually take my bee bag:

But last year, I finally bought a little bag I’d been stalking at Beautylish for a long time—and now I often carry it instead:

Lipstick’s been my favorite makeup category since the 1980s and I have a lot of it, so this print spoke loudly to me. :DLipstick’s been my favorite makeup category since the 1980s and I have a lot of it, so this print spoke loudly to me. 😄Unlike my bee bag, this lipstick bag has several slots & pockets for organization.Unlike my bee bag, this lipstick bag has several slots & pockets for organization.

Someday I need to take photos of each bag loaded with makeup items, to show how much stuff each bag can hold. Note to self!

Re: Cosmetic Bags

@NaavaMott pretty bag!  I use an old GWP bag by Elizabeth Arden with a red door zipper, and NYC cityscape.   My sister tried to steal it from me!

Re: Cosmetic Bags

Do u mind me asking what is GWP? Is it a brand… sorry I can’t keep up with these abbreviations🙈

Re: Cosmetic Bags

@NaavaMott, GWP= Gift with Purchase

There's a thread (I made it - self serving, yes) but helpful BIC Vernacular

Re: Cosmetic Bags

Sounds cute!!!

Re: Cosmetic Bags

I often use my Saint Laurent Raffia bag as a cosmetic bag, especially when traveling. It is small, and it is convenient to carry the most needed makeup items in it. But of course, I have an ordinary cosmetic bag at home that I use to store my cosmetics. Actually, I have two. I wonder whether I'm the only one who keeps storing old lipsticks (or other items) in the hope you can use them one day, even if you almost ran out of them.

Re: Cosmetic Bags

My travel makeup bag is from Stoney Clover Lane.  I love it because wheni gwt hone I can toss it in the washing machine.

Otherwise, I use varies GWP makeup bags i have received throughout the years.
