Christmas Cactus

I enjoy my Christmas Cactus plants. And I look forward each year to their blooms.  This year they are blooming well ahead of time.  

As you can see, there are multiple blooms still waiting to open.  

I will take other pictures as the flowers bloom.

Does anyone else share my love for this plant?? If so, please share your pictures with our community!!!

Well it’s that time of year again!  My Christmas Cactus is starting to bloom.  Well, at least this one is blooming!  🎄🌵

This little one gets neglected frequently and is watered maybe once a month when I walk by and notice the soil looks like my dry skin after a long day. Last night I was passing by and noticed a pink reflection on the window. Turns out it was quiet happy being neglected and decided to bloom!

@JoSometimes  Yay!!! I think neglecting it is better than over watering it. I had one and I must have watered it and my husband watered it and it got root rot. I have a new one that’s full of blooms!

@ather This one died. I haven’t replaced it though. Maybe next month if I can find a nice one.

Our Christmas cactus did not bloom this year sadly, but here is one from work!

I don't get to Trader Joe's as often these days and am rarely in the outdoor section when I am but I moseyed that way one night after work and saw the "Christmas cactus" sign. I ended up going back another day and picking one up. Here's hoping I can care for it well enough like folks here have cared for theirs on this thread. 🤞 @Cissy63 

They came in a foil wrapping that covered the base. This plantar is from an aloe plant that did not survive my care - in my defense, it held on for a year or so before calling it quits. 😔 This is sitting on the steps where there's a skylight up above. Let's see if it likes this spot.

I have been remiss at showing updates on my plants.

On 11/19 they were still blooming.

Ohhh...Is this what this plant is actually called?  I have one and I never knew, @Cissy63 .  The blooms are so pretty when they come in!  Yours looks lovellllyyyyy 😍
